You are moaning. And, I think your idea of hanging on is very different to mine. One shot on target. One. We never looked that under threat. It was always comfortable.
Completely agree. Can't believe some of the comments on this thread.
Hughton got it spot on. I would have considered starting LuaLua and Wilson but both Murphy and Hemed did really well and deserved their starting place.
At half time he did the right thing with substituting Wilson for Zamora...
Probably Hughton's. Knockaert is better creatively than anything Poyet had (except Vicente in his rare games). Defensively we have far more depth and I think Stockdale is now better than Kuszczak was under Poyet.
The only player we lack from that team is Ulloa. He would be great in this team...
That's not the point (and you know it). Leicester tried to sign a striker and failed even though they're top of the Premier League. The point was, and you know full well what I meant, that if they can't sign a quality striker, it puts our search into perspective.
All transfers are gambles. Even Jordan Rhodes could fail at Middlesbrough. Just because we've not heard of a player doesn't mean it's more of a gamble than a player we have heard of.
Sorry, so our one big success was complete luck. Or maybe we carefully scouted him and chased him for months. Based on your post there's absolutely no point in having a scouting network.
Think we might see one of LuaLua and Wilson (or even both) start for Murphy/Hemed. Assuming Skalak has his international clearance sorted, would be good to see what he can do from the bench.
Completely agree with this. You would think we're bottom of the league based on some of the ridiculous comments on this thread but last time I looked we were fourth in the league.
Loads of moaning about the addition of Rhodes by Middlesbrough (a player that was never affordable for us) yet no...
Agree. Think we've got real quality going forwards now with Knockaert, LuaLua back, Wilson seemingly staying and hopefully Skalak offering quality too. Looking forward to the rest of the season and we have the loan window too if needed.
I saw the statement. That's why I said if this is you giving him a chance at the top of my post.
I'm not sure what you're getting at. You compared the Czech top division to the Conference. That seems like a pretty clear win for me straight away, unless you do watch it regularly in which case...
Good window overall. Signed Towell, Sidwell, Knockaert, Skalak and Ridgewell (to temporarily cover the left back position). I'm struggling to see where the negatives are. A couple of exciting (and still young) players, Knockaert (who looks one of the best signings from any team this window) and...
If this is you giving him a chance, I'd hate to see you writing him off.
To comment on the Czech top division, I assume you regularly watch that league. Why not give him a chance. We might have picked up a gem.
Completely agree. Sadly a number of people on here are moaning already having presumably never seen him play. Personally, I think we've done really well this transfer window already, even if that's it.
Looks like Skalak is set to sign. Albion set to announce signing of an "International forward" at 8:30. Presumably Skalak. Will that be it then or will there be another?
That's what I was wondering. Is the fans idea of a big signing the same as the clubs? Skalak is a Czech international so should be a good signing if we get him.
