[Albion] The "Official" Albion Fan Advisory Board thread

Which is why I stump up the extra to pay for Seagull Travel for evening games.

[Albion] The "Official" Albion Fan Advisory Board thread

I know someone in the air charter industry. Post pandemic, with a few airlines going out of business, lots of crew being laid off and leaving the business and also older planes being decommissioned as they are not fuel efficient, it is really hard to find larger commercial aircraft to charter...

    [TV] The Apprentice 2024

Didn’t rate Turners Pies, pastry lacked flavour and the filings weren’t great. The rock cakes aren’t bad though

[Albion] Best version of Sussex By The Sea..

The mystery disco version played at Woodside Road back in the early 80s which nobody can ever find a copy of.

    [Music] AC/DC Wembley July 2024

If you haven't seen them before then you should go for it as it may be the last chance given how old they are - even though with no Malcolm, it's not quite the same. Luckily I've seen them a few times in the past and at smaller venues but I won't pay those prices for Wembley Stadium. Did that...

[Albion] Characters from The Goldstone North Stand - early eighties

I remember back around that time being at a some Northern away game and my mate and I talking to someone who was probably around 20 years old who followed Albion around the north of the country. He told us he hadn't seen us win in nearly a year so we felt bad for him. Sounds like it might have...

[Football] When did replica shirts become really popular?

Although there were some around in the late 70's I think that they really kicked in when shirt sponsorship began in the early 80s.

[Technology] Using a SKY HD "box" for Freesat

I did this a few years ago. Bought a Sky box from the British Heart Foundation shop for a tenner, connected it up to the old satellite dish and it worked fine for freesat viewing but it won't record. When we moved house and didn't need it, I donated the box back to the BHF to sell again.

[Food] You can only choose 1 item from each shelf of the UK section in this Florida supermarket.

No one like that horrible rubbery Fry’s thing that masquerades as Turkish Delight. Proper Turkish Delight though is wonderful.

[Food] You can only choose 1 item from each shelf of the UK section in this Florida supermarket.

While in Florida, I went with my mate who lives out there to The Proper Pie company in Haines City which, as you would expect, makes British pies and pasties. The pasty I had there was pretty decent. In their produce section was the usual selection as seen in the first post. What surprised me...

[Drinking] Dry January -- anyone continuing?

Two approaches really - be honest with people and then you'll find out where your mates are. With my friendship groups, I have one lot who don't always invite me out to beer festivals thinking I won't enjoy it, the other lot have realised that they have a driver in the group so make sure they...
