Farage was already lining up his excuses when he thought he'd lost when interviewed on Thursday evening complaining about the extra people who were allowed to vote. Even Douglas Carswell, UKIP's one MP, said his comments were ludicrous. Given these comments from Farage, are you seriously telling...
It's funny how you can mouth off about it online though. Isn't that the definition of a troll, someone who is happy to shout about their views online (when anonymous) and won't admit to them in public? If you really believed you were right, you would be open about your opinion.
Did you not see the stats that were quoted earlier in this thread? If you didn't, I suggest you take a look. Ignoring that, it is also obvious as the younger generation are more open minded and less anti Europe
In terms of the future, it is a risk. I think it's a massive risk but, even without knowing the future, it is a risk. In all honesty, whatever your decision was based on, I think a lot of people decided based on xenophobia and the lies of leave (e.g. the £350 million a week which ignores all...
But we already were that. This is what I don't understand. We were part of the EU but also a country in our right. It's not like we were part of the old communist bloc or something.
Did I say that everyone in the older generation voted leave? The majority of over 65s voted leave and the majority of 18-40s voted to remain. That is a fact.
This is exactly the delusion that got us into this problem. I think some people believe we still have an empire and control most of the world. Realistically we were much stronger as part of the EU than we will be on our own. I'm realistic and realise Britain don't really mean much in a world...
Completely agree with this. I actually think if Cameron and Osborne had campaigned for out, we would probably have stayed in the EU. It was a rebellion against the government and their cuts.
The irony is people like me said this would happen after last year's election and it's come true and now...
What a ridiculous post. Sitting on the fence is being indecisive. Completely different to what you are talking about.
As for your final sentence, what a load of drivel. I am British. I have always lived here. Doesn't mean I have to agree with any decision that the British public make. A vast...
I kept out of the debate about the referendum on here until now but some of the drivel people are writing made me decide to post on here. And yes, a small majority of the people who voted disagreed with me. However, the vast majority of the younger generation, who will be most screwed over by...
How is mine sitting on top of a fence. I strongly believed we should stay in the EU. From where I sit, your opinion is narrow minded and has endangered the future of this country. I am part of the younger generation who are going to pay for the older generations decision so I am understandably...
This question is for leave, not for remain. We didn't vote for this so it is down to the people who decided to leave to take us forward. Surely it is already mapped out. We've already got the £350 million for the NHS as promised. I presume there'll be no unemployment and everyone's life will...
Nobody is basing anything on one day. Sadly, people like you will eventually realise what a terrible mistake this country made this week. Whether it is sooner or later is debatable but it will happen.
Do you honestly think if remain had won, the likes of Farage and Johnson would have taken it and never suggested another referendum. Farage was already lining up the excuses on the night of the vote when he thought remain had won.
Couldn't disagree with this more. Older generation are more affected by xenophobia so hardly wiser. The older generation has enforced something on the younger generation, which young people did not vote for. As 65+ is the age group that voted most to leave, many of them will be retired and less...
