Fair point, although it's not quite the same as Sunday trading hours apply to all shops of a certain size, not just the most popular store in the country.
The PL blackout to me feels more like banning the most popular West End show from performing on a Saturday or a leading taxi service on a...
Same. And 15 points for Forest is the same as what you'll get for Chelsea, Arsenal and Palace combined. My plan is do Forest for the points and miss one or two of the others.
I can't think of any other industry where the market leader is banned from operating at a peak time in order to give free business to its smaller competitors. Remove the blackout and let every club sink, swim or adjust.
I'm going. I don't really want to four days before Athens, but I don't want to leave 15 points on the table that I might need for the San Siro in February.
Unless he signs a new contract there has to be a chance we'd sell in January. I know we won't want to do that, but the sums might suggest it's the right thing to do.
The new stand looks nice and is something they need to do, but what about the other three sides? The size and scale of the new stand seems to box in the rest of the site, leaving no further room for expansion. If I was them, I'd probably aim to fix more than one side with the funds.
Burnley have lost 5 out of 5 at home but they have been against Man City, Spurs, Villa, Man United and Chelsea. They've also had Newcastle away. How does it get much harder than that? Yet they're nearer the easier end in this. Makes no sense surely.
As you say, they've only beaten three of the no-hopers so far. They've come up short against any OK teams. And I still don't see where enough goals are coming from to seriously threaten the top four/five. But I think you're right, they need to be in the conversation, albeit for me as outsiders.
There are only three teams that will definitely finish above us - Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool. There are still two Champions League spots after that and we're in a fight with Newcastle, Aston Villa, Man United and Spurs for those. Finishing in the top two of those five is clearly difficult...
Agreed, if it goes to Euston. But if it doesn't, what's the point? I find it incredible the government can get away with floating the idea of it terminating in an outer suburb of London and nobody really questions it.
If I'm in central London or central Birmingham and looking to get to the other, there's no way I'd be taking two trains (regardless of how fast one of them might be) over the existing route that is direct in 1hr 20mins or so.
Have I missed a key piece of information? Why is the government...
Please just play it safe guys and take the draw. It'll be a great result. I can't cope with the idea of seeing Marseille running at us in a 4v2 or something silly in the next few minutes because we've gone all out for the win.
I don't see any issue with the US having it twice. The country is so huge it's almost a continent in itself. It's well worth another go, especially as the other two North American countries will be involved.
The only way I'd believe there is a conspiracy is if France, Germany or Italy get it...
In 1930, Paraguay didn't play in the first game and they finished bottom and went out in the group stages. What special moment of theirs are FIFA claiming to be marking 100 years later by involving them in this?
Great news if true. What a player he is.
I'm not as sure we will lose him as others. Mitoma is 26, he'll be 27 next summer. That means another club would need to pay a big fee to us and know that there is probably very little resale value in him as by the time his contract with a new club ends...
