I didn't do Marseille, but Athens was a much better trip than Ajax. I loved the city and the people. Their team was good too, whereas Ajax were just so bad that it all felt a bit easy.
You only get a gig in the team of a quality manager like RDZ if you know your stuff and buy into his way of playing which Crofts clearly does. I hope he stays but wish him well if he goes. Oxford is a great job for any young coach right now.
Why do people continue to make this point? Of course they are more than capable of playing two games a week. They're so fit they could play two games in one morning. But doing so will obviously have an effect on their sharpness compared to rival teams playing once a week. RDZ is therefore trying...
I don't blame RDZ or the players for this game or the recent PL run. They're doing the best they can while being pushed to the limit in terms of fatigue and injuries. I'm completely happy with the decision to prioritise winning at Ajax over today.
Winning at Ajax will be remembered by everybody there for the rest of their lives.
Winning against Sheffield United and Forest will be forgotten in a few weeks.
Thanks for the explanation. I knew they couldn't book Sterling after a VAR check but I just wondered if they checked an incident for a penalty and found it was actually a free kick the other way whether that overrules any incidents that follow.
What would happen if VAR checked the Sterling incident as they believed it could have been a penalty. If they'd then realised he dived, surely play would have restarted with a Spurs free kick and no Romero red?
He has been good and he can still be. But I find he calls more incidents wrong now. Look at his scathing comments about Arsenal tonight for their complaint about the standard of refereeing. Any fan who watches PL football knows Arsenal are right, the refs are wholly incompetent. But Neville is...
I was about to post something similar. Saudi Arabia as a football country definitely deserves a World Cup. Saudi Arabia has won the Asian Cup three times and been runner up another three times. Along with Japan and South Korea, that makes them one of Asia's three most successful national sides.
We are lucky to have Jason Steele. I don't believe there is any other keeper in the PL who is as good with his feet. I put him above Ederson. He is world class. And in a RDZ team, footwork is all that matters.
