Time to get those trousers down and get those flares shoved up those backsides in Trafalgar Square then.

I'm sure i'll be so proud to be English again

I’ve never been to WC Finals or Euro Finals games. This is a great opportunity, I’ll try to take it.

With the Amex expanding to 40,000, hopefully we’ll get some ties.
List of stadiums has already been chosen. No Amex sadly

The list of cities and stadiums, in descending capacity order, is as follows:

  • London — Wembley Stadium (90,652)
  • Cardiff — Principality Stadium (73,952)
  • London — Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (62,322)
  • Manchester — Etihad Stadium (61,000)
  • Liverpool— Everton Stadium (52,679)
  • Newcastle — St James’ Park (52,305)
  • Birmingham — Villa Park (52,190)
  • Glasgow — Hampden Park (52,032)
  • Dublin — Aviva Stadium (51,711)
  • Belfast — Casement Park (34,500)

I was kidding.

Interesting though. Villa are adding 10,000 seats and Citeh 8,000, whilst 74,000 OT (leaky roof), 61,000 Anfield and 60,000 Emirates miss out.

A question for you, did you ever visit Hampden when it held 120k to £140k?

Blimey... England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and ROI will all go through qualifiying.

That will be painful for the ones who don't make it...

It is objectively quite funny that games are being played in Liverpool, Manchester and north London and none of Liverpool, Man Utd or Arsenal are involved

Why are Turkey planning to host 2032 with Italy? They aren't even neighbours.
I would imagine it's the prohibitive cost of hosting what have become mega-size tournaments.

As for pairing up with Italy, Turkey doesn't have great relationships with many of its neighbours!

Went to a Scotland-England game at Hampden with my dad in 1970 that had a crowd of 137k

My first football memories are from 1973. I remember the biennial Auld Enemy games at Hampden in the 70's, a colossal crowd on the three up-to-the-gods terraces, the noise. I was tense about the result, even as a young kid.
