Yes he was but he was played when he first arrived then gave the manager an excuse to drop him based on injury / illness and then his performances.

Agree with your sentiment but that way we wouldn't get loan players that were any good. Managers don't let players go out on loan as cover they let them go to sharpen them up with first team football. Any loan player happy to come as a reserve would be rubbish.
