I know this issue has been disgussed before, but I havnt seen one a round for abit. I miss the days of buying Brighton rock and all the rest of the jazz. I dont want to be accussed of dragging up an old issue but I think its about time there was another about. What do ya reckon? Could it happen, or has the dog had its day?

I think that the dog has probably "had its' day".

Fanzines are always going to be out of date. It's practically impossible to sell all of an issue at one game so it would span two or three games. Normal communication is so immediate these days that trying to cover topical issues is also impractical. Fanzines are at their best when there are troubled times at a club & when that happens we're all on the Message Boards and Mailing Lists or texting / phoning each other - what would be left for a Fanzine to cover?

There are 1,600 members of North Stand Chat. The gate at Withdean yesterday was 6,033.

Not every member of NSC is a Brighton fan. Several people have two screen names.

What I'm saying is that a fanzine sold at Withdean would have more penetration than an online messageboard. Many people don't use the net. Yes a fanzine would be out of date if it just reported the news, but it should be more than that. It should have articles, interviews, opinions, a letters page, cartoons...etc.

Other clubs have them, there were two being sold at QPR. There are enough people who could contribute from North Stand Chat to make it worthwhile.
