She did indeed. Thanks to Tom, from the club, who met us with a deluxe wheelchair & 'pusher'. We went down to the Memorial Garden. popped into the ground for a pitch-side picture and then they went into the South Stand where they were able to watch in that special area near the back, so no up &...
Thank you very much!
It seems that the club can provide a chair, but good of you to offer. They will also make sure she gets to see the garden & is looked after during the game.
I've also spoken to Peggy now and she's still so thrilled to be going. The plan is that I, and Tom, meet her by the...
Sent Tom an email last night but I messed up so actually didn't send so another one this morning and he rang me straightaway. Basically explained what we'd like/need as in some wheels and possibly a seat a little away from a normal row so not having to jump up & down to let people through.
Rang...
Three people have passed this on to Tom Gorringe at the club so I'll be getting in touch and it looks like the club are keen to make this a great day. More details, probably in the morning.
Thanks again all!
Sorry guys & gals, just back home (ear bashing from wife).
Yes, Peggy still good to go and I'm still looking to beg, steal or borrow some wheels. Not sure on the hiring as I have no transport and they will have to collected & returned. I have an incredible 52 notifications so I've got to look...
Thanks for all the generous offers, not sure what to do next!
Have spoken to Peggy, still very thrilled & keen but worried about distances to walk. Will think on this over lunchtime beers and check in later.
At the moment, plan is to meet her about 2.00 when she is dropped off in coachpark.
I have spoken to the clube, twice, and also an email. They were able to re-arrange the seats I had bought in WSL towards the north end to the sounth stand, nearer the disabled lift. I did ask if she could go in a disabled area. She is on the end of a row, which is good apart from will have to...
I'm at work at the mo so can only dip in & out of here but thanks for the support. I'll be giving her a ring soon to hopefully sort out times etc and will pop back here again later.
Thanks Edna, and others!
I do have a few logistics to resolve, like the being dropped off and walk to the entrance. I'd love it if there was a lightweight wheelchair and it would be nice to be able to take her down to the Memorial Garden.
I also hope that some good people will look out for her...
I offered my 2 to a charity called Time To Talk Befriending, it's a charity for people who may not be disabled but lonely. They have a lady who will be thrilled to go, her last game was the last at The Goldstone where she used to stand with her husband in the North.
Sadly, her husband and a son...

I used to take my lads in there and it was a great shop for buying unusual football shirts before they became big business. They had rather snazzy Ajax away shirts, Dutch & many others.
I also bought a couple and my Son, who often works Saturdays, may take them up but, if he doesn't then I hope mine will go to people who have not been to the Amex before.
I think we have taken off our two starting strikers in just about every game this season. We let the opposition back into games, even poor teams like Rotherham. It's not a good trait.
Fell asleep during the England game last night but this was fantastic stuff. Dipped in & out but watched last 20 mins.
Where are all those people that used to say we don't need a staduim as we only get crowds of 5k? So proud pf our ground & our City.
