For some unknown reason the chorus of a song that used to be sung at the Goldstone, late 60's, came into my head. I think the song was called "We're gonna fight, fight, fight for the Albion". The chorus went someting like;

"To hell with Luton Town, to hell with Torquay, we're gonna fight, fight, fight, for the Albion 'til we win the football league"

LUTON TOWN, TORQUAY!!! I ask you..:clap:

The Hill of The Gun
It's an adaptation of a song known as the Marines Hymn.
The version I remember was :
From the banks of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli
We will fight, fight, fight for the Albion
'Til we win Division 3
To Hell with Aston Villa,
To Hell with Notts County
We will fight,fight, fight for the Albion
'Til we win Division 3

That's it, but with Luton Town and Torquay, in the version I remember. Thanks

Brighton
Luton & Torquay was late 60's but we had moved oin to Villa & Notts County by 71/72, rivals (along with Bournemouth) in that epic promotion race.
