Now, I may be mis-remembering (it was a long time ago) but sure I remember two things:
1. Beating Palace 3:1 at home (yellow inflastable bananas everywhere!) one Boxing Day - 1988 it appears.
2. Dean Wilkins free kick, about 20/25yds out into top corner (in front of south stand) - I was in North...
Thanks, that would sound right, not living in the area as a kid, I would frequently go to Boxing Day games when we visited relatives for Xmas.
Am sure I went to games earlier year(s) than that but that’s the one I particularly remember.
Can't remember if it was my first Albion game (I was in the north stand), but the one I remember vividly was Dean Wilkins curler into top corner against Palace in our 3:1 win (I think). Sometime in the '80s.
Anyone know the date of this game?
The, 5 of the orphan kids then played a game of football with the whole Brighton team.
Potter turns up after 10 minutes and shouted out "Hey, lads, that's really not on, there's 11 of you PL players against 5 little kids"
Ben, still aged 5, shouts out "Shut up Potter, we're winning 1:0"
Potter took the players to an orphanage during the international break.
"It's so sad to see all their little faces, sad, with no hope" said Ben, aged 5.
Who do you think it is then if not Charles?
I am assuming you’re not stupid enough to think it was James Hewitt who only met Diana AFTER Harry was born.
Not to mention that new town that they want to build between Twineham and Sayers Common.
Without significant road upgrades (i.e. dual carriages to replace A272 and bypass Cowfold) traffic will just get ridiculous.
