Will we see Andone play? Seemed like the ideal opp to bring him on and once again we went for Locadia. Surely Andone should be knocking on the door by now? He's on the bench.
All the chat before the game about how hard their run has been so far, but no harder than ours. Now all the chat on the radio is about them again and no mention of the Albion. Happy to be under the radar, but the media really are so bloody one-eyed in The Prem.
Thanks for the updates. I did wonder if Albania might be somewhat robust. There were a couple of crunching tackles in the Scotland game too. Hopefully he has come through unscathed.
Superb programme - silly and compelling at the same time. Can't wait for Series 2 (already being made I believe).
And if you haven't watched Fleabag, you're missing one of the truly great bit of recent TV writing (comedy or not).
I'd add:
- starting without Gross and Stephens and still looking like a well drilled team
- coping with Propper limping off
- Ali J starting - and looking the business until he ran out of puff
Notable on Friday how strong our bench was. Almost any of those starting in the dugout could have started and not weakened the starting 11. And with Gross, Montoya and Stephens to come back - we look far stronger than last year. Imagine what those injuries (and now Propper) would have done to us...
Positives: scoring more goals, and not just the strikers. Montoya. Character to come back from behind.
Negatives: big signings not contributing yet. Conceding more goals. Still too respectful of Big 6.
Overall: which is the real Albion this year? The never say die pressing team that did so...
Perhaps just be more understanding of fellow human beings as we pour vitriol on them from the stands for passing a football in a direction we don't agree with?
Does it help to play the first semi-final? Seems obvious that time to rest would help between games. But perhaps going straight from a win into the next game keeps the adrenaline going?
Anyone know any stats on this?
