    [Misc] Sewage in the sea

Its funny that this is now news because as a year around sea swimmer, I am aware that it happens literally all the time! There was a channel 4 dispatches on it the other night. In a nutshell - Environment agency budget has been cut by 80% since 2010 - Water companies have been left to 'self...

    [Albion] Transfer Policy

We are not Man City are we though! They are a team of world class players and even then they have just spent a large amount of cash so as they don't have to play a false 9! Teams that choose to play a false typically do so because they have a world class player that has all the attributes...

[Misc] Is this a clear breach of GDPR?

Or it could be a complete coincidence of course! They would need to risk assess it but I would doubt it will end up as reportable, they will probably end up giving the person who sent the email a GDPR refresher and give the OP some guarantees that it won't happen again!

[Misc] Is this a clear breach of GDPR?

Its a breach of data protection as his email address was shared without his consent, however I don't think it would be reportable to the ICO as its low risk? Its just an email address and it's being shared with others that work within the same company.

    [Misc] Sewage in the sea

I see a lot of these are confirmed now, some discharging for over 3 hours! Great time for it, in the lead up to a Bank Holiday weekend at the end of August!

    [Misc] Sewage in the sea

Up to 75 litres of Urine in public pools apparently! https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/mar/01/how-much-pee-is-in-our-swimming-pools-new-urine-test-reveals-the-truth Apparently the strong chlorine smell you get in some pools is caused when the chemicals in the urine mixes with the...

    [Misc] Sewage in the sea

After 72 hours any discharge will have been dispersed so most of the time the sea is actually pretty clean, I am actually amazed sometimes at how clear the sea gets off of Brighton after a few calm days, particularly outside of the summer season. Brighton and Hove are also both Blue Flag beaches...

    [Misc] Sewage in the sea

I have been sea swimming at least once a week for the past 3 years. As well as checking the waves heights and tides, each time I unfortunately have to check that there hasn't been a discharge recently before getting in. It seems like discharges happen pretty much every time it rains and they...

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

I think it was a Co promotion but know for a fact that matchroom had no say over the undercard as have heard it talked about in interviews. Pretty much everything was signed over to the Saudis as part of the site deal which was probably why the whole event ended up being a bit strange!

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

I don't think Hearn had a lot of control over the undercard which is why most of the fighters were not Matchroom fighters. Hrgovic is Kalle Sauerland, Sky must have had a slot for Ben Whitiker and Badou Jack is signed to Probellum.

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

What a strange fight, it was like they were taking it in turns! No way did Hrgovic win that unanimously, he was all over the place!

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

Yes I am the same, some of the PPV fights I won't entertain as they are not big enough but this one definitely is. Unfortunately a lot of the big fights would never be made without PPV as there just wouldn't be enough money in it for fighters to jump networks and promoters to work together to...

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

Because everyone is doing PPV and people are prepared to pay the charge! In the US its upwards of 80 Dollars a fight! In order to put in a competitive bid broadcasters like Sky have to do it as PPV or they wouldn't be competitive, it would just end up on another channel.

[Other Sport] Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2

Im not so sure, I think there are definitely some things that Joshua could improve on from the first fight. Its clear that the tactics were all wrong and the advice from the corner terrible throughout the fight. He has a new trainer who is arguably one of the best in Robert Garcia and Joshua has...

[Help] Coaching football for the first time...help!

Doesn't this depend on what stage in your development you are at? Sure using a skill in a game situation is more valuable, however unless you have mastered that skill in a controlled environment first, then it's unlikely that you will be able to execute it when you have an opponent to contend...

My sons team use a training system called Coerver which seems pretty good: https://www.coervercoaching.com/ I think there is some sort of link up between them and Real Madrid.

    [Albion] Dementia Question

I think there are many factors that increase the risk of someone developing dementia such as genetics, lifestyle elements such as whether someone smokes, drinks, what they eat as well physical trauma to the brain. As a result I think it would be very difficult to make the case that even without...

    [Finance] BoE Interest Rise

House prices should be much lower but you have seen constant growth in house prices because interest rates have continued to fall due to central bank policy and QE. This has been a policy decision that I don't think anyone could have forecast.

    [Finance] BoE Interest Rise

The conservative party will do everything in its power to stop this from happening as ever increasing house prices are their number one vote winner, however I suppose it depends on how high interests rates end up having to go before inflation eases. There are many people out their who's finances...

    [Finance] BoE Interest Rise

Its the central banks that got us in to this situation, they used QE to try to stimulate demand in the economy during the pandemic when there was limited supply. Too much money pointed at too few products = inflation. We need to get out of this situation that we have all been in post 2008 where...
