I thought he did ok last night. He held the ball up well, and helped cover Reyes when their tricky winger was attacking him down the flank. The only problem I've got with him at present is, that he needs to play to the whistle instead of falling over and hoping to win a free-kick.
I disagree with you on this. He isn't ready for the full squad yet. Look at what we've done with Walcott, since 2006. He hasn't been the same player and there is far to much hype over him now. Back on to the subject, I think Pearce has done the right thing and given the younger players a chance...
I thought Barnesy did ok on Sunday. He caused problems for Enrique and held the ball up well and managed to get free-kicks in dangerous areas. I'm not sure why we're playing him out on the wing quite so regularly, when he is a out and out striker.
I think he has a point to be honest. Our service to him this season has been really poor. And not getting an target man with him at the start of the season, didn't really help matters.
This will never happen. The messiah shouldn't of come back the second time around, let alone for a third time. Everybody remembers MA for the disaster of him coming back the second time, some people forget what he did first time when he was here.
I'm seriously worried about this, hopefully they will go for Mcdermott instead of Gus. Why would he want to go there in the first place, espically to a team who could get relegated this season. Step backwards I say....
