Ok, last post as it is not worth discussing. Firstly, if you want a discussion, don't call people who disagree with you neanderthals.
Secondly, as has been stated by a number of people here, £20 million in losses does not mean that it is £20 million under FFP rules.
I don't get your angle. Why are you so keen to say the club are cheating? It makes no sense. It is absolutely nothing like Archer. The club know what they are doing and the whole losses don't count for FFP.
You are the one who wants an online ruck. People keep giving you facts and you ignore...
You still can't see the difference, can you? They broke the rules. As of now, we haven't. And, if you read the responses to your comments, we almost certainly still haven't. It seems a very odd thread to start, especially when you get annoyed when told you are wrong
Having gambled to this point, it is very unlikely that TB will gamble on losing a potential £100 million plus from promotion and sell Stephens. We're gambling £8 million to get a possible £100 million. Given our current position and squad, I would say we have pretty good odds.
Agreed. He's been great the last couple of games after a bit of a slow start to the season and has said he is committed to us for the season. I don't understand why some people on this thread are so keen to get rid of a key part of the team when we are second in the league.
Exactly. It seems to be the mantra from opposition teams at the moment that they had an off days against us. We're either the luckiest team ever in that every team drops their game against us or it is something we are doing that makes teams struggle. Personally, I think the latter is more likely.
Agreed. He was brilliant all game on Saturday and would have been man of the match for me without the goal. Similarly, against Norwich, it was only Murray's three goals that stopped Sidwell getting man of the match there too.
I must admit I was worried when we were told Kayal would be out for a...
Agreed. I found that very odd this summer. I believe Kayal is the better player and was very surprised there was no talk of offers for him. I wonder whether it was his injury record at Celtic that put teams off (although Stephens had a long injury lay off with us).
Alright, other teams (which is what I meant by rival). If you want to be honest, it is even more embarrassing to do it when teams aren't a rival. If it is such a ridiculous rumour, why even bother commenting?
Absolutely. There is no point in us turning up this season if we don't want to go up but it will be a hard if we do. Barring one season, over the last six and a half seasons we've been used to winning most games and that won't happen in the Premier League. However, having never seen Albion in...
I understand what you are saying but if we pay £3 million for a striker and they help take us up, it is an amazing signing even if they don't make it in the Premier League and we might be able to sell them anyway to be honest if it doesn't work out. Once you go up, that sort of money is nothing...
If we were going to sell anyone it would have been in the summer, when Stephens especially would have been worth more. Why anyone would think that we'd stand firm on summer bids and then, having had the start we've had, decide to sell key players in January.
I must admit to being concerned pre season about the strength of the relegated teams. I thought we'd be strong to challenge for the play offs but would struggle to get top two as that would go to two of Newcastle, Norwich and Villa. How wrong I am currently. Newcastle have been great so far but...
Exactly. I started watching Albion in 1990 and it was downhill from there until the Withdean years and, despite four promotions in that time, we still struggled to compete with other teams due to budget limitations. Yes, last season did end in heartbreak but to be honest the last year and a half...
Pathetic comment. I think you find most number one keepers will come back in after missing one game. Seeing as he has kept nine clean sheets in his 14 games this season, I think I'll back Hughton on that.
But it wouldn't be this team as Poyet played a very different system. We wouldn't be playing 442 so the players we have wouldn't work so well.
Hughton is clearly the better manager for me (and I was a big fan of Poyet). He has a plan B and has made us less rigid as we're now happy to play the...
To be fair, there seems to be a bit of a meltdown on here if we don't win, the recent Preston game being an obvious example, so a 5-0 defeat would be like the end of the world.
Absolutely. And we've got Rosenior to come back this season along with March, Kayal and LuaLua (although the latter may not get in the squad when everyone is fit).
