He played last weekend and Hughton was talking about him potentially being available for the game yesterday. He may well play tomorrow but could presumably also be on the bench at Bristol City.
Neither Pocognoli or Hunt were on the bench, which surprised me. Goldson would have been the full back option presumably.
As for Rosenior, I thought there was something a couple of weeks ago about him returning to training soon and being back in late November, which was the minimum three month...
Not surprising. He's had one Championship winning season at Newcastle, a play off season at Birmingham and almost two seasons with us and two thirds of that time, we've been top three form.
Just goes to show what a great choice he was for the job and what a great job he has done for us. We've...
This is just the sort of thread that opposition fans will come back to and show as Brighton being arrogant. You cannot make statements like that in the Championship. It is a massively competitive league and if we drop our performance at any point, we will have a poor run (as we did due to...
If you genuinely are rating from 1 to 10, surely he should get a 1 or 2. He gifted us one goal, was heavily involved in another with a poor clearance and was in no man's land for Dunk's goal. On the other side, I don't remember him doing anything good.
Completely agree, although they did pretty well last season with quite a few changes too.
We did very well this summer. Hughton and the recruitment team knew what they needed to do. We obviously needed a new striker (ideally two, the one missed target this summer) and Murray has made a massive...
Fair point. And if we don't go up, we'll have Norwood and probably keep Sidwell so will have options. Do you think we need anyone except two strikers in January?
Far too early for that. You'll be up there with the squad you've got. Sort out your defence and you'll be fine.
Will Neil go now or do you think he can turn it round?
If you look at the Duffy thread, people were writing him off and saying he was a waste of money after two games.
Also, unlike some people on here, I don't bounce threads to gloat when I am proved right.
I see your point but we have got five wingers and can use one of them further forward. I think the club will do their utmost to make sure we're not short of players in the second half of the season in January as we were in the play offs last year. We may also try to sign a central midfielder if...
Surely then it is my right to disagree with people. I don't think it is constructive. Someone has a right to do it but others have a right to comment on it and say they are wrong. However, apparently that means they don't criticise players.
Do you not see the stupidity of writing off a player...
Absolutely. When all are fit, we have five wingers who all offer something different. This is a good thing. We should be looking at what each of them offer but it seems to end up with players being criticised for what they don't offer e.g. Skalak not taking on players when he has other qualities...
If you mean I think people should support players rather than slating them, then yes I do that. This doesn't mean no debate. It means that starting threads like this (which I realise wasn't started by you) turning on a particular player is not constructive.
There are clear examples this year...
I find it odd that a Norwich fan is so keen to come on here and slag off Chris Hughton so regularly on a Brighton fans forum. I think I'd focus more on your own club and their current manager at the moment.
The fact is Alex Neil didn't get sacked for taking you down. Hughton got sacked when you...
There's literally no point in arguing with him. Everyone else knows what you meant. He is clueless, as this thread illustrates perfectly.
Also noticeable that the OP has not come back with his follow up after yesterday. Maybe he's seen the light.
Nowhere I'd say. Two good options in goal, four decent full backs as Pocognoli looked okay at Ipswich and Rosenior is due back, two fantastic centre backs with two decent back up options, four very good options in central midfield once Kayal returns (and Towell could come back and do okay too)...
But it is pointless. Obviously the feeling would be less happy as we'd just lost yesterday and the Brentford game would have been long forgotten. That's why I don't understand. Or do you mean if we'd lost to Norwich in September and beaten Brentford yesterday? If the latter, there would be a lot...
