Might have had something to do with the very high press from Everton. And Potter knew it was coming, hence our plan to play that ball over the top again and again in the first half. Good plan, not executed with any precision. But really promising.
Potter shows a lot of faith in him. Clearly believes Alzate is versatile enough to flex with his change of tactics. Seems so composed and calm on the ball - always an out ball to him when needed. I suspect he'll eventually replace Stephens.
Nothing harsh about it. Watch again and you'll see that all Richardson does is glance it on (across the goal). Admittedly, almost immediately it hits Webster and changes direction by 90 degrees and goes in. From WSL we were convinced it was a great downward header. Turns out we were right, but...
Potter sets up to exploit the opposition's weakness. He isn't of the "you've earned you place, you're in until you cock up". He'll change the side if he feels we need a different set up to out manouvre Villa.
Club have been very cagey on this and we've been repeating the "back after the international break" line with no further update. I'm concerned he might still be out for a while yet. Hope I'm wrong. Such an exciting player.

Together is a half hour podcast published by a Brit in the US on Mondays. Very well put together (cough) and a very good listen.

I had the massive misfortune to listen to Big Sam on Talk Sport* this morning, co-hosting with that red faced dinosaur. I was slack-jawed with disbelief at most of what they said. The man is a complete imbecile. He was angling for the Everton job. And he topped it off by explaining how modern...
Has there been any news on Trossard? Lots of comments about "after the break" but nothing new or updated that I have seen. He's a hell of a player and I'd love to see him back soon.
He looks like he's been getting in great positions but (generally) not quite being able to add the finishing touch. That's far preferable to not getting into those positions. My gut says he's going to be a belter for the Albion.
