F*** me, you must be good. Anyone who can describe Wolverhampton as 'a busy market town' clearly has a gift!
Good luck mate and hopefully I'll be back in a couple of years as well.
I met a S. African last week. He was discussing the merits of various 4x4s. As I was dropping off he uttered the immortal words: "Land Rovers are rubbish. I hit a honey badger one evening and the Landy disintegrated".
Further evidence to add to the overwhelming argument for acknowledging the...
Despite the tone and style of his post which seems to have offended so many, the OP makes some valid points.
1. Sending an empty 8 car train through just before the rush and a 3 car train just after is pretty f******* stupid
2. Turning a Seaford train around 3 stops before the end of the line...
*** Spoiler Alert ***
I went to see it over here last weekend ... Emma Thompson utterly lovely as only she can be but otherwise (i.e. 95% of the film) formulaic, not funny, predictable, tedious, unconvincing and contrived. Redford needs to retire if that's the best he can do. Nolte was...
As many people have already pointed out, the idea that buying a shirt is a display of loyalty that should give the purchaser access to tickets ahead of the fan who attends more games is anathema to most of us. I think the reason we feel that way is because there are two different things going on...
Trouble is that very few places are open that early (7am) on West Coast. I've had a look but can't see anywhere obvious. If I were you I would stop at a couple of Sports Bars today and ask if they know anywhere ... good luck!
:bigwave:
As we superannuated relics always have to point out ... Beating them in the replay and running Derby close the following round was about the same as matching full strength L'pool/Arsenal would be these days.
Imagine taking 8,000 to a league cup match in the midlands these days?
My...
Warren may stumble and stutter a bit but it is well worth the effort of working out what he's saying. He expresses a clear opinion even if he doesn't always express himself clearly. Far rather that than vacuous Virgo
He's a breath of fresh air compared to all the ex-pros who queue...
Not a sniff. Football was last seen in these parts the same year we reached the FA Cup Final. MLS expansion plans are (courtesy of Wikipedia):
2017 Atlanta
2018 Los Angeles
tba Minnesota
tba Miami
under consideration San Antonio
under consideration Sacramento
under consideration Las Vegas...
East Coast up itself as usual Pacific North West has biggest crowds and most meaningful derbies in MLS. They even get quite raucous. No footie around here unfortunately but I did see a couple of billboards proclaiming Stevie G as the messiah on a recent trip to LA. Population of 10-15m and...
Speaking as a San Diego resident - Miami. Agree with all previous advice about how cold the winters are and how dull some of the other options. Miami is easily the best mix of travel distance, weather, sport, culture and things to do for this duration at this time of year.
have a great day
Straying off topic a bit ...
The sequel "Queen and Country" only came out last year. Excellent IMO but reviews.generally mixed. Would make an excellent double bill for Duke of Yorks. They have some interesting films on this week ... bit far to travel though.
Surely Juncker and friends can't really be so stupid as to think this won't alienate us further ?
Christ, I thought they were supposed to some sort of political elite rather than a bunch of f***wits.
And all for a measly €1bn.
The foreign habit of referring to MU as just 'Manchester' can be irritating.
But the one that really gets me: using 'Albion' instead of 'The Albion'. Ignorant JCL piss-boiling prawn-sandwich-munching CJTCs if you ask me.
Maybe we should start to petition The Argus on this?
