Agreed. If it ended 2-2, I would have been slightly disappointed. We had a number of very good chances at 2-2. However, having gone 3-2 down in injury time and equalised in the 97th minute, any disappointment from that changed to delight at the point.
For those slagging Norwood off on the thread, there were a number on here (definitely not including me) who said Stockdale should be dropped back in October/November. It was complete rubbish at the time and has now been proven so. Our best player for the last two or three months and has won us...
Hardly banging on. I've mentioned it a couple of times on this thread when you slated one of our players. Hemed did a lot of work for the goal but it was Norwood's assist and a good ball into him
Basically, I don't think slagging off individual players is particularly helpful to our team. You...
Agreed. Quite why a team who are second in the table need a scapegoat is beyond me but some 'supporters' on here aren't happy if they can't slag one of our players off. Seems to have been forgotten that it was Norwood's assist that helped us break the deadlock against Cardiff, a game we could...
Exactly. If Huddersfield and Leeds do draw tomorrow, a win would almost take us back to square one from before Thursday, despite all the dire predictions after the Huddersfield match, and a draw would be a decent result.
I think your idea of critiquing is different to the dictionary definition. I see critiquing as constructive comments, not starting a thread saying a player is simply not good enough.
It is irrelevant whether it's based on one game or all season, your original post was a disgrace. Slagging off one player is not what fans do. Opinion is one thing. Slagging off and making a scapegoat of one player is not what supporters should do
Agreed. But he did get slated for changing to 4-3-3 in games last season and, on occasions when he's changed formation late in the game and we've conceded e.g. Preston home this season, he's also got criticised. I realise that wasn't necessarily you and I think we probably should have played the...
This is what I hate most about this site. People absolutely slating players. I'm sure you will say you are entitled to your opinion as a supporter. But, to me, starting threads calling players simply not good enough is not being a supporter. Constructive criticism is one thing. Absolutely...
It's funny. Hughton was criticised heavily for playing 4-3-3 in some games last season e.g. Cardiff away where we lost heavily and now people are calling for him to do it. Seems like he can't win.
What do you mean? Do you not know this site? We lost last night so we have to pick out players to slag off and turn against them. I mean Norwood has done nothing. He played no part in big wins such as at Sheffield Wednesday and he definitely didn't come off the bench to provide an assist in our...
I agree with all of this, except for the Stephens tackle. It was an 80/20 tackle in Stephens' favour (hence he won the ball long before Ramirez came along)
Were you watching the play offs last season? We had four injuries in an hour in the away leg and then they scored a goal that should have been disallowed at home. But you know that anyway.
No, that wasn't aimed at you but there are definitely some posters who only come on here when we lose or if we miss out on transfer targets. From my perspective, posters like that don't add anything to the forum. The OP is one of them.
As for your last comment, I imagine Chris Hughton is...
That is right. It's a bit ridiculous as they both count towards the red card so it is better to get a straight red for a professional foul or handball on the line (with a one game ban) than two yellows. To me they should both be wiped off the booking count
Fair enough then. Thank you
If you've seen our recent TV games, you'll have seen we definitely didn't have a soft underbelly against Sheffield Wednesday.
I never understand the attitude of people saying we have messed up three previous attempts to go up. Three seasons ago under Oscar Garcia we scraped into the play offs on the last game of the season, with a team that had a lot of injuries and did well to get into the top six, and then lost to a...
