I've seen the same debate on Twitter re Stephens based on the same 'probably made up' rumour. I don't understand why there is a debate. We absolutely must keep this team together. We can't afford to risk it. If we were going to sell Stephens we would have done it in the summer when we weren't...
It's not true but, even if it was, why take £8 million now when we have our best chance ever of getting the riches of the Premier League. It's not like we're in the play offs at the moment, we're top and eight points clear of third place.
I wonder if he might play all three with one playing alongside Hemed and either Sidwell or Towell on the bench (depending on whether Sidwell needs the game time). The other will get on at some point as I doubt Kayal will play 90 minutes on his return.
Well we've got at least a week and a half in the league. Real worry will be if Hughton is named manager of the month for December. Hoping they will go on total number of points rather than points per game and we won't be affected by the curse!
Fair point. There surely must be another Premier League club who'd be interested though, unless they want him to stay in the South East and that then gives us a better chance.
I also like the following section of the article:
"The rest of Palace’s January schedule is not the most exacting, either. An away trip to West Ham will hold no fear and there are points to be picked up when Everton visit. Bournemouth away rounds off the month. By February, Palace should be...
I think we'll probably end up with an overseas signing that nobody has mentioned, as often happens. A slight gamble but cheaper than taking a gamble on someone from the lower leagues here. Very similar to signing Skalak last January.
If he was able to play a bit further forward e.g. the No. 10 role in some games where Baldock is unavailable or Hughton chooses a slightly different formation, he'd be an amazing signing. As one of a central midfield two, as good as he is, I'm not sure we need him unless we are selling Stephens...
I think that will be interesting next season if we go up. Do we go with the system that has got us up or do we play three in midfield. Certainly for games against the big teams I can't see us playing our current system. Surely we will be more defensive. For this season, I understand why Hughton...
How are there odds on Roberto Mancini. I know he has had a mixed record recently but why would he go to Hull?
Also, Chris Coleman turned down his hometown club in a Premier League relegation battle to stay in charge of Wales yet apparently is third favourite to go to Hull, who he has no...
Rosenior is back up to Bruno when he is fit again. He's a brilliant option. Marshall is a decent player at this level but we have better now, especially in his main position.
Did he have longer as caretaker than as official manager? If not, it was close.
Hull have been a complete mess since they won promotion. Gutting after we finished well above them that they've made a mockery of promotion. Getting rid of Bruce so short a time before the season, hardly...
