yep, he did. I passed him in the last mile and offered a word of encouragement and he replied that he was happy to be arriving sub-4 hours.
I promptly shot my bolt and trailed in well behind him! He was looking very strong even at that point
ouch:eek:
As there are a fair few people now who've done quite a lot of running if you could offer fellow NSC'ers one long-run tip, what would it be?
Mine, related to the above would be to smear your toes in a bit of vaseline. I was suffering from blisters about a month or two ago, but this...
Does anyone know what the drinks (apart from water) will be? Someone told me it'll be Powerade and Clif Shot Bloks?
It's worth finding out so you don't give your stomach any nasty suprises. No one wants to emulate Paula Radcliffe and soil themselves mid-race.
Or do they?
The organisers are quite rightly partly covering themselves by making the right noises about the banning of ipods etc but in practice it is totally uneforceable. I can't see marshalls in yellow hi-viz's stopping people as they pass through the start gate.
cheers everyone,
No Windmill I'm afraid - planning wouldn't allow it. There'll be other more discreet obstacles to keep things interesting though.
We haven't named too many of the holes as we reckon most will only name themselves once they've been played a few times.
This one is called...
This winter I purchased a red jumper because, I reasoned, I didn't own anything else red and it would be a nice change of colour.
I wore it once to work and felt a bit of a conspicous cok so I haven't worn it since.
Not a successful wardrobe experiment
Afternoon NSC,
Not quite on the scale of the magnificent Falmer project but still quite exciting - myself and a mate are having a Mini Golf Course built in Worthing which shoud be finished by early May.
Although Falmer's machinery dwarfs our mediocre build, you can follow the progress through...
I'm hearing it up in Woodingdean.
I wonder what's the furthest distance anyone's ever heard it from? Not wondering very hard you understand, just curious
The closing of many Lighthouses was in the news today. I wonder (again, not that hard) what the future is, if any, for foghorns?
It's been going like the CLAPPERS the last couple of evenings.
I don't know why but I love hearing it. I'm sure it was around in the early 80's and then didn't sound for years but has made a comeback within the past 6-7 years?
I bet the Marina residents go mental. Ah well....
