It's set up nicely now to Paris. I think its probably Cadel's to lose now although I think he'll have a bad day which might cost him dearly. If Contador can limit his loses on Saturday and stay in contention until the Grenoble TT, he's still in with an outside shout. I WISH Andy Schleck would...

    urinals at the Amex

I've heard the club are going to pipe in the authentic 'Goldstone Ground North Stand Gents' fragrance just for a bit of match-day nostalgia. Mmmm pungent.

All my cards on the table - Contador will tear off on the climb to Luz Ardiden - win the stage and set the foundations for an overall win. All talk of a bad knee will be quickly forgotten. <disclaimer> If this doesn't happen, can I just say that Gadret's abandon may point to the Giro...

    Double Yellow Lines

Noticed it today. A worse bit of line painting you are unlikely to see anywhere - it's like the Happy Shopper version of double yellow lines!

Yellow Contador's moaning about his knee. If he's bluffing, he's giving it the full works. I was sure he was bluffing, now I'm less confident. Lets see what happens Thursday... Cadel looks alright but I think he'll have a bad day although it might be the year you can get away with it. Andy &...

Nor me, he looks very poor although - a bit of me thinks he might just be sand bagging until the proper mountains start? His 'attack' yesterday was decidedly half-hearted. I'd have thought if hw really was in poor shape, he wouldn't have bothered at all. The pace was never that high - Thor...

Great route for todays stage - brilliant bit of France if you fancy a cycling holiday

    Cycling to the Amex

There should be a cycle path alongside the Falmer Road (Woodingdean - Falmer) and between them, Brighton & Hove and East Sussex Councils should have used the stadium as the catalyst for building it. It's a deathtrap for cyclists. Coming to the Amex from Woodingdean, I'd happily cycle there but...

I'd be very suprised if it wasn't a bunch sprint today. The intermeadiate sprint is quite late on so the sprinters teams should have it all in hand by the end. Smart money will be on Cav but as that's the obvious choice, I'm going to go for Farrar - he's kept his head down nicely over the past...

Yep, I'm down for that one. A nice evening amble along the seafront. Hoping its actually like a July evening and not like October!

Really good. Fignon was a great rider and an awkward customer to the media because he was smarter than your average pro. Halfway through reading it, he sadly died which was, to be honest, really weird - reading the words of someone who'd passed away that day. One book i'd recommend is 'Tour De...

Keeping it special : waiting for the Donny game

Yep, waiting for Donny too. I might not even take my seat until about 10mins before kick off - I want to walk out and see it in all its 1st day glory. It'll be hard to resist a peek at it though...

To be fair, the monitors they have to view it on are tiny. I have trouble spotting riders on a big telly. Now they all wear shades and helmets - its awkward to tell them apart. That said, Cavendish is very distinctive in his size / riding style and Harmon should have been able to call it right
