I'm looking forward to continually refreshing the page when the ticket exchange window opens to members, looking for those very late decisions by ticket holders who suddenly can't go, pretty sure there will be some at some point for some game
I'm one of those that supported the move to put White in there. It took me 45 minutes to realise it, initially frustrated that he wasn't finding the space that Alzate does, but then the penny dropped that this was about shoring us up against teams that sit deep and hit on the break. We've been...
On balance I enjoyed it to be honest. I'm truly sorry for everyone who's lost a loved one or their jobs, of course, but as your asking personally then I really enjoyed the first lockdown, the peace and quiet, enjoyed the camadarie and global togetherness it inspired. Work has been fine and it's...
Yeah, the defensive mind set against Burnley was a real headscratcher. Just 19 shots, what was that all about? We had 12 shots in the first half, the most we have ever attempted in the opening 45 minutes of a Premier League game. Can't understand why we didn't go on the attack
Yeah you did. Swansman said 'people complain when we lose or draw against weak teams' and you replied 'most weeks then'.
I won't blow smoke up his arse until, well ever, because that sounds like a horrible thing to do :lolol: but praise where praise is due. His recent work on our defensive side...
If you want to be negative, be negative, if you don't want to see the potential and improvement and the positive course we're on, fine. Up to you. But don't throw silly statements out like 'basically we lose or draw to weak teams every week' because it isn't true.
For the record, in the league...
The last time Brighton lost to a 'weak' side was Palace in February, 25 games ago. Maybe it sticks on the memory because it was the last home game we had fans at, but can I repeat, TWENTY-FIVE games ago. Since then we've only lost to Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Everton.
He's very good.
Two things stand out. One, nearly all of our tinkerings and changes this season have been to the defensive side of the game. For a manager we think about as an attacking, progressive manager, certainly compared to Hughton, it is clear that Potter has focused heavily on our...
If Connolly had scored that chance, yeah it could have been like the Spurs game last year.
I'm just so impressed about how we neutered their attacking line for nearly the entire game
Defensively played well, yep, offensively he is by a mile the least creative player on the pitch and slows it down a lot at times. To be honest I think we have found a like-for-like replacement for Montoya at RB, but Veltman has been excellent at CB.
Of course. He picked three strikers against Liverpool! We'll all take that :) not only that it was tactically brilliant to do so. He then got panned by the commentators for taking Connolly off, but that was also the right decision at the right time, that was the point when we finally got back...
Excellent again, and getting better all the time. As a consistently high quality 90 minutes performance there have been few better by a Brighton player
The time today that the commentators reminded us that Ben White played for Leeds last season.
I believe that's a record, I don't think any other commentators have waited as long as that to tell us.
