Yes, loads of people are having a go at the ref, and rightly so, but it all stems from the people looking at the incidents initiating three VAR reviews for potential clear and obvious errors, where in my mind none of those incidents were clear and obvious.

I agree, but I'm optimistically hoping it's just because the players haven't got used to the system yet, i.e. VAR checks everything, so they can't cheat the officials. For the most part, the playacting hasn't led to anything.

I agree with this. I like VAR but this World Cup is too soon. There needed to be a longer trial and training period. Many of the refs don't have any VAR experience.

My sincere apologies. I get frustrated with the trend of demonstrably false information being passed around the interwebs. It often starts with people who have an agenda or who are just talking out their arse, who then pass that false information onto others who won't necessarily have any reason...

This has already been explained many times. There's no English refs because Clattenburg couldn't be replaced after he went to Saudi Arabia. I think I even recall someone explaining this to you in another thread?
