Absolutely terrible performance. How he is a Premier League referee is beyond me. Not seen the penalty replay but, if he got that right, it was the about the only one he got right all afternoon
You are pathetic. Any player gets any praise you jump on it and criticise them for no reason.
As for the OP, completely agree. Suttner was average initially, in his last two games he has been excellent and offered a lot more going forward. Looks a good signing
Maybe he's playing the tactics that the manager tells him. Maybe the fact that we were pressurised quickly at the back made a kick upfield (not an aimless hoof they were aimed clearly for our players) the better option. Or maybe he just wanted to frustrate you for his own amusement.
What a load of rubbish. He's played seven games for us so far and he is already written off as a bad bit of business, even after most people think he's played well recently.
Having said that, I think you were the poster who said we would never make the top two after Ipswich home last season, so...
It is really funny, as I think we offered nothing against Man City. We only briefly threatened from a couple of corners in the second half and never looked like scoring. Unlike you with yesterday, that didn't disappoint me as I don't expect to push forward against the big teams. City showed with...
I really don't know where you are coming from. For the last 25 minutes of the first half we pushed forward really well and got caught up on the break a few times as a result, including when Ryan made his best save at the end of the half. We'll have to agree to disagree as I really don't get what...
As I said earlier in this thread, you watched a different game to me. We sat back a bit early on but from the moment they scored, we gave Arsenal a real game for the rest of the half (leaving ourselves exposed at the back as a result). The second half again we started defensively, partly because...
Burnley are a bit of a freak though in the turn around away from home. And they are a few seasons ahead of us. They've had two relegations from the top flight before surviving for the first time last season and didn't win away until late April last season when they did survive.
One of the more bizarre comments on here. The fact that nobody else seems to think the same should probably tell you everything. Duffy is a very solid defender at this level and has been very good this season.
As for Knockaert, I've actually said elsewhere on here today that March should be...
I genuinely don't get this. We did try to go forward, especially in the second part of the first half. In doing so, we hit the post and had other crosses into the box but also left ourselves exposed at the back. Huddersfield 'went for it' at home to Tottenham on Saturday and were three down in...
It is all a game of opinions, but I think you are being really harsh. West Brom have been in the Premier League for a long time. We have just been promoted. I know we beat them but there is no comparison. Not sure exactly what people expect us to do away to Arsenal
Think the issue is he is being asked to aim at the same place each time with Hemed before and now Brown out wide. Think we should try to vary it a bit although we lack a lot of height up front.
Agree on this. I think it especially applies to attacking players. They will obviously have less impact in the final third in games like yesterday than Newcastle home, for example. That means other aspects of the game are vitally important e.g. how hard they work, putting in tackles and...
I heard similar comments. The best one was he was a waste of money, which considering he cost less than £1 million and he has already played a key role in us winning promotion to the Premier League (and the money we get for that) is complete rubbish.
