I think we could potentialy be in a bit of trouble. In the last few weeks we've lost G O'C, Bas, Revell, Hammond and possibly Cox. Whilst we've brought in Murray, McFaul, Dixon, Thomson and possibly others. In the long term it may all be a good thing but normally a massive upheaval like this...
I live in Piddinghoe and I'm part of a committee that organises events in our village hall about four times a year. We have one on a Saturday night in July this year and I have been given the job of sorting some entertainment. It's not a big hall, only seating about 50 plus some outside if it's...
one or two players over valuing themselves is understandable, but when it is FOUR players in the space of six months then perhaps it is not always the players at fault as we are lead to believe
Have a look at who the players are. Bas, George and Bertin have been snapped up by who? Well no-one...
It's probably unfair to judge a player on just one game but the only time I have seen Elder for any length of time was when he started in the JPT, and anyone who saw him that night would not be calling for him to be in the first team. Every aspect of his game was dire, although he was big enough...
Kuipers - 7 - I thought he had a good game. Not much any keeper can do about a free kick like that.
Whing- 6 - Steady.
Elphick - 7 - Defended OK. Good finish.
El-Abd - 7 - Defensively the pick of the defenders.
Richards - 6 - Good 1st half, OK 2nd half.
Martot - 7 - Probably MOM.
Reid - 6 -...
Is it me? We have a squad of 20+ full time professional players who have all day every day to practise yet we do not seem to be able to find anyone to take a decent corner regularly. OK we scored today from a corner but most of Coxy's efforts were very poor. The one back to Reid that ended up...
Having watched Rents at Millwall and Lynch against Mansfield I thought Richards had a good game particularly when you consider he has just had a chest infection and hadn't played for a month.
Reid was woeful against Mansfield Why not stick El-Abd in midfield. Not perfect I know but couldn't be worse than Reid against Mansfield. I like Reid but perhaps he needs a few more games as sub or in the reserves to get back to full fitness.
I think DK speaks with passion, sometimes without thinking too much. I thought he was brave saying we would have up to 5 new players by this Saturday.
If we're after 5 lets hope we get 1 or 2 quality players because we desperately need them.
Having read all the comments of the last few days I think I know how to solve all the Albions problems.
First get rid of Dick Knight, he obviously doesn't care about the club and he hasn't got any money. There are loads of wealthy businessmen queing up to put money into the club.
Then get shot...
I thought Gillespie from Cheltenham looked useful. Has scored against us twice this season. Not that tall though so depends on what kind of striker we are looking for.
I've yet to see Bas play a decent game when he has started, his impact seems to be as a sub in the last 20 minutes. When teams are tiring send on the big lanky awkward bloke to stir things up a bit. A role that's hardly worth breaking the bank for.
I think that if he didn't moonwalk or dye his...
Lots of people seem to be calling for OGH to be recalled from his loan, but does anyone know how he has got on at Havant. I see he's been playing up front but he hasn't scored a goal yet.
Kuipers - 5 - One decent stop but kicking poor.
Whing - 5 - Probably our best defender which is not saying much
El-Abd - 5 - Committed as always, made a couple of decent blocks.
Lynch - 4 - Very poor.
Rents - 4 - They obviously knew that we had lost Richards and set out to target Rents - it was...
If we bring some new players in in January I don't any of this is the end of the world. Richards is the one we will miss the most. All those that said Wilkins was treating Rents harshly will now realise that was not the case.
O'Callaghan is useful but he's not irreplacable. I don't think he...
