In the monthly Supporters Club newsletter I got this morning it quotes the same figure. With a 20,000 gate averaging about £20 a ticket were barely covering the costs although TV money and beer/pie sales etc will obviously help. Thats why I would be suprised if the club is making any real money...

No it works as was stated earlier. The season ticket card number is compared against the central data base each time you swipe it at the turnstile. If you've paid your monthly sub it lets you in, if you haven't it tells you to go forth and multiply.
