If you average the total operating costs of the business (inc. player and all staff wages and any exceptional start up costs) across 23 home games then that might be in the ball park.

We would already be bankrupt if that were true. What a complete load of tosh.

Club operating cost or ground operating cost?

Very, very different things but even so it shows how hard it is financially in this League

Does it include player wages too? I'd be interested in reading this article. I wouldn't have thought over the season that the match-day income could be more than £10m

I heard that for the Kupiers game, we need to get 15,000 through the gate before he makes a penny. Bet he is over the moon about the Chelsea game today.

The name gives it away
It cannot possibly cost 650K each game. Surely?

In the monthly Supporters Club newsletter I got this morning it quotes the same figure. With a 20,000 gate averaging about £20 a ticket were barely covering the costs although TV money and beer/pie sales etc will obviously help. Thats why I would be suprised if the club is making any real money at all.

I'm afraid he won't get anything near that. We had to cancel our coach due to poor interest. People don't want to go to two friendlies so close to each other.

clearly bollocks or distortion of facts. simple calculation to sanity check : 650k / £30 ticket is 21666. so you'd have to sell out every game to break even. considering most tickets a season tickets at considerably lower per game revenue, they are making a loss. i know they sell alot of piglet pies and harveys but really dont think they are enough to support the rest of the club.

as suggested above they've probably taken clubs total costs and divided by 25 (still not sustainable), or got some other figure and misreported it.
