I've supported the club since the mid seventies. Both before and after that we have had home kits that were not stripes. You don't want to buy it, fair enough. Others like it, including me. It is the only kit that has ever had any symbolism of the town/city on it that I am aware of.
Why the hell do they sponsor us? Fan base full of post grads, IT nerds, charity chuggers and public sector workers. Hardly a skilled manual worker amongst us (there are exceptions).

I would suggest that they should indeed point this out. But to be fair they appear to have acted in good faith by waiving the charge. Not exactly crime of the century.
