Short keeper like Ryan needs defenders like Duffy sitting deep to deal with crosses, and banks of defenders stopping quick breaks. It was set up for him to be solid under Hughton but more exposed under Potter

We'd only get top value if we sold them on at or near their peak. I for one am rather glad we haven't been doing that. In Ryan's case we'll be getting a loan fee from Arsenal that will likely be the equivalent of a transfer fee pro-rated for a 6 month contract, and his eventual sell- on value...

Experience is good, but it has to be used. He was a player we needed to step up and look to when defending a lead, but it wasn't happening

Ryan was great for us but with the higher line we need a bigger keeper. Simple as. And if we move on, we really move on. Ryan might even have been offered the beech spot but declined, we don't know. What I'm fairly sure of is that if Sanchez gets injured Ryan will be back.

It's about numbers of deaths I guess, which makes sense. Although, these elderly are generally isolating and shielding anyway, if they vaccinated the active people they would slow spread and achieve same result in all likelihood. If vaccine availability wasn't limited I'd set up vaccination...
