Fully agree. And if any one from the Club were ever to read any of this, hopefully they would take it as positive that supporters are voicing frustration that they cannot freely spend additional money with the Club. The worst outcome for the Club would be if nobody said anything.
Oh yes, fully agree. I suppose the point I was trying to make (but not very well), is that if the Club shop had had sufficient stock available I would never have even bothered shopping around. I was sitting there with my debit card ready. Still, it really doesn't trouble me too much. I've tried...
I understand that, but most sizes of everything are launched in September and sold out by October, never to be seen again.
There's being 'conservative with the forecasts' and then there's being that candidate on The Apprentice that gets fired in episode 2.
That men's Nike top that you land on when opening that link is currently only available in 2XL and retails at £60 in the club shop.
Unless having the AMEX logo and club badges are really important, you can buy the near identical top (or choose from many other colourways) from Kitlocker for...
I went on the Club shop website the other week, looking for some Nike Strike 23 drill / warm-up clothing. What a pointless exercise that was.
In the end I spent £100 on near identical items from Kitlocker (but without AMEX branding or club badges obvs, which is fine by me).
If they have changed your tax code the rebate should automatically appear in your next salary
EDIT
A quicker solution than contacting HMRC is to check with whoever sorts of salary payments at your employer. They should be able to tell you.
To be fair, the Palace academy looked brilliant and I believe (although I may be mistaken) that is was largely funded using the proceeds of the £50m Wan Bissake transfer in 2019. Credit to Palace for making this investment in an area where many of the most talented kids are hoovered up by the...
Channel 4 broadcast a really fascinating 4 part documentary about the Palace academy a couple of years ago, following different age groups.
A small sample size, admittedly, but the kids that got released seemed relatively pragmatic about it. After all, at that age kids think they are going to...
He’ll be broadly fine, like most refs in most games. Yes, he’ll probably make a few mistakes in the midst of a fast-paced game contested by 22 highly-skilled, testosterone-charged athletes, all looking to gain an edge. But so what?
The mistakes that ultimately decide the result will be made by...
The Amex stadia and a premier league squad playing European football is the very visible expression of Tony Bloom’s vision, investment and ambition. But it is the academy that will be his real legacy, changing lives and providing opportunities for young people for generations to come.
And all...
Just let refs get back to managing the game in real time, as they see it, with no recourse to video etc. Errors and misjudgments made by players have a far bigger baring on the outcome of the match than any that might be made by the ref. VAR is fundamentally ruining everything that was so...
From the BBC Sport on-line article:
"Haaland was one of several City players to remonstrate with the official and he continued his protests after the game by reposting a clip of the incident on X, formerly Twitter, with the comment Wtf."
Interesting. I haven't checked Haaland's SM feeds but...
Absolutely not. Some players and / or coaching staff may choose to leave; identified targets may decide not to join. The only thing that would be a disaster would be if the Club have constructed a business model that is dependent on European football every season. Which is why they won't have.
And for me, that's ok and understandable and acceptable. Players make mistakes and errors of judgement every game, as do managers. But refs are some how expected to be infallible. A task made even more difficult when often players are out to try to gain an advantage by deception, exaggeration or...
