One thought occured to me whilst watching that programme is that over the 50+ teams that has played against us either this season or last (includeing cup games) their must have been some gay players that have played against us.
Wonder what they must think when they hear their own fans singing...
I too also feel that their should have been more goals shown on the disks. Didn't we almost get to 500 scored at Withdean? Id love to know what percentage of goals we scored their ended up on the disk.
Also Dean Wilkins getting us to 7th season seemed rather rushed.
I think in terms of story then the horses point of view works best for War Horse, its hes thoughts and feelings and he doesn't talk in the book. It help makes the end more powerful with the relationship with him and the girl, but as you say it would have been hard to achive that for a film...
I've already read the book and I really want to see the play. As you can imagine its pretty hard to get tickets for that at the moment.
In terms of the film I thought it gave the book justice, I do think the narravtive of the book is better as firstly its told from the horses point of view and...
Of course they should.
If people miss unglamour home cup ties means its harder to get tickets for high priority away games like Palace away is enough punishment.
I think someone is going to make a fortune in booking fee's...
Out of most groups that travel to away games together, some must have a different number of loyalty points. Lets just say a group with 4 people, do they wait until the points total has reached the lowest of what the 4 have or each...
They also had the DVD that use to be in the box in the shop for £12.99, has anyone seen it?
If you add in the home shirt with the gold patches aswell then breaking it up like that would work out cheeper than the £99 they were selling all 3 items for during the start of the season.
Both - I have the last week of July off work as a shutdown but managed to get tickets for the football at Wembley on Sunday 29 and Hockey on the Saturday 4th August so am looking to go away somewhere inbetween. I have thought that because the season starts later next year then the pre-season...
I picked it up yesterday and have watched some of it last night and the rest this morning.
It is a nice little set but I was disapointed with the lack of Withdean goals on the set, without counting them all id imagine that their is less than 50% of them that we scored at the stadium. Its more...
For me it will always be Buckley against Donny as had waited so long for that day and to win it right at the end adds so much more to the whole day.
One that hasn't been mention and i remeber fondly is Revell's winner against Bournemouth on New Years Day, I was so bunged up with cold that the...
For me yesterday reminded me of Leciester away, carbon copy of them going 1-0 up just after the break.
From the 55th minute the rest of the game is irrelevent. But I could quite imagine the game was going to end 1-0 just like at The King Power in September up until that point. I was quite...
Also people need to remeber that we are set to have our best league finish since 1991.
But I can see people's concern with the lack of points from our last 12 games, lets hope we can get back to winning ways in the next 2 home games.
I'm pretty sure that we played every day of the week during the play-off season in 2004. Of course some of them were away and we had been at Withdean for a few seasons.
I just think its a case of the modern day Sky/Premier League era of football.
France '98.
I watch ever game possible during that tournement, obviously the last group game clashed so at the time could only watch one of the games but engrossed by the whole tournement. Recall Brazil beating Scotland 2-1 in the opening match, Nigeria beating Spain 3-2, Jamaica in their first...
Thats pretty much the same for me aswell, but slightly older. I do recall watching the 1994 final but couldn't say anything that happened in that match, but by the time the '96 final came around I can remeber it vividly. Basically that and euro'96 got me hooked on football.
Going to see it in Crawley on Tuesday before heading up to Watford.
Have been waiting ages for it to come out, and as TMLS has mentioned Steven Moffatt has been involved aswell so its going to be great!
