Holy shit- seriously????? When?
They're one of my favourite bands. I was supposed to see them at The Albert in May but missed it. If they're playing down here then i'll be first in the queue
I know a few non-Ghana sub-saharan africans and they're all cheering them on. Dunnno if they're die-hard footy fans (i suspect not) but that might be irrelevant.
But i know what you mean. Not sure how much affinity the 'arabic' africans would have with Ghanaians.
Stepping away from the celebrations for a sec, i've got a query about suspensions.
I thought outstanding yellow cards got wiped at the end of the 1st round, but it seems a couple of Ghanaians are going to be suspended for the QF?
To be honest it makes a certain amount of sense if the 1srt...
I've got some close friends from Murcia, so have been 'following' them a bit these past few years. Havent made it to the new Condomina yet though.
Relegation is going to be a complete disaster. And another example of a club building a new ground at the expense of their performances on the...
All the kits we've seen so far are just dull. I'm usually all for a 'classic' look, but now find myself hoping for something a bit leftfield.
Otherwise i'll just have to console myself with the Ghana and Ivory Coast away kits.
We were just having an office debate about the smallest ever Premiership* ground. At roughly 12,500 (i think), Bloomfield Rd would win hands down wouldn't it?
Only other possible ground i can think of would have been Swindon, but as far as i can tell that was approx 15,000 back in 93/94...
Well i really like it.
You've got to mix things up every now and again. I'd usually prefer 'even' stripes for the Albion but i think they've done well with this design.
The only thing i don't like is the back of the shirt, but that was always going to happen.
I won't be heading back in a hurry. Stadium was decent inside but everything else about the day was fockin awful.
If you want some pre-match drinks then make sure you've got some tinnies with you. The pub we ended up at, The Enigma (which i think was the the 'nearest' to the ground, but am...
I think this is highly debatable. No doubt Rooney has had stacks of success since, but the others?
Lampard/Terry - before WC '06 they'd won back to back league titles and reached a couple of Champions Lge semis. Since then: no league titles (until this year?), one Cham Lge final loss and a...
The Station is by far the best pre-match pub imho, although it does get pretty busy.
Wasn't a fan of the Brewery Tap but its sad to see a local pub go under.
Maybe middle-of-the-road is the wrong term. I suppose what i'm getting at is that musically the new album wasn't as edgy(?) as i'd normally go for. I'm imagining that tonight's crowd will be mostly over-30.
Thanks or the tip re. parking. I'm wondering if bussing it over there is a better idea..
