We seem to be moving on now. How does an EU Treaty, or Treaty amendment, get approved within the EU once it's been drafted, content confirmed etc? Is anyone else involved other than the above or do they just publish it in the OJ, job done?
Me too. I remember helping him up after a "fall" down some steps at Prenton Park during our last year at Withdean. No blood but god knows what his bruising was like the next day. We didn't speak but I'm not sure if he was able to tbh.
Three seasons later he stopped me outside the club shop to...
So if a disabled person requires assistance on-board or at either station during scenario 2 what should they do? Are Southern going to advise them to get another train, bearing in mind they've required 24 hours advance notice of the trains such a passenger intended to catch? If so, how?
Your...
Have they (or has the CEO just said something during a TV interview that may or may not be the current HMG position)? However, if so, and disregarding what would be Horton's further disingenuous approach towards his staff and the RMT, what will they be trained to do? They surely can't all be ex...
And anyone who's disabled and might need assistance is required to give SASTA at least 24 hours advance notice of their travel arrangements in order that they can arrange for suitably trained staff to be available at the stations to assist. Now there's an interesting approach to equality of...
Isn't it distinctly possible that the UK could/would be excluded from Erasmus (as Switzerland) if we were to "stop" free of movement of EU citizens?
Disappointing feedback from HMG re Dacre et al but hardly surprising eh, political reality? We've been involved in some slightly bizzare rfi...
Not at all, two separate things entirely; an Article 50 exit is about disengagement from the EU and has nothing to do with any future trading arrangements. Completely different legal basis too, hence the requirement for the latter(s) to have unanimous Council, MS agreement and to comply with the...
I believe you're mistaken here. The exit conditions/treaty under Article 50 require approval of the European Parliament and (by qualified majority) the European Council. There is no requirement for either unanimity in the Council or for individual member states to ratify.
I believe the SASTA position, if you are disabled, is to give them 24 hours notice of your intention to travel and the trains that you will be using and they will ensure they are appropriately trained staff at the station to assist you. Apart from whether such a position complies with the...
OK, not an unreasonable point of view but it's conjecture pure and simple.
However, it is a fact that:
Any post exit trading arrangements between the UK and the EU/EEA have to be ratified by the EU Council (unanimously), the EU Parliament and each and every individual member state.
The...
Isn't one of the big points about leaving the EU about taking back control, so what would be the problem with a public vote? At the very least there must be parliamentary approval surely so where we'd be if Parliament were to reject the exit deal.
Anyway, we'll have to replace any EU derived...
No options for us class X high flyers. Compulsory dropping of Art and Woodwork after year 2 then full on for x8 O levels in year 4 (Maths, Eng Lang, Chem, Phys, French, Latin, Geog, Hist), followed by a year of cramming in a five year syllabus if you wanted to do Eng Lit, Biol, German or Addn...
Lower school class streaming was much the same for me although both classes X & Y tended to move on to the sixth form with X taking the majority of O levels 12 months early in year 4. Very, very few from year Z went on to A level, probably dependent upon O level results but I can't remember tbh...
David Davies's Dept is currently undertaking an industry "consultation" exercise (within Life Sciences that is, with responses due in by the 25th I think) where it seems to want to determine how the industries work, are regulated and what they want going forward. We've provided some specific...
