Brighton were on the brink after Norwich's second bid..Gus reveals

That's a very good point too. The more I think about it the more gaining promotion this year could unleash the power of the Albion for a decent length era.

Brighton were on the brink after Norwich's second bid..Gus reveals

That's a top post. At least, I agree with every word. The Albion and Bennett should both benefit from this decision. If he carries on as he is he may well have better options than Norwich (who I like) come the summer. Hopefully, we will be in old Div 2 and he'll stay anyway as we are on the up.

    All white kit at orient!!!

That's okay, thanks anyway. I had not realised that we had worn a white kit in 70/71 too. Perhaps the two are linked? I am intrigued now. Tim Carder in Seagulls! notes that the club wore white shirts in 74/75 for reasons best known to themselves, while he does not comment on the white kit in...

Funniest shout of abuse you have ever heard from a member of the crowd

Birmingham City at the Goldstone in 85 or 86 I think old Div 2. In a strong brummie accent a rather portly City fan shouted at the rather portly defender of theirs: Billy Wright! You're like a bloody great big beached Whale.

    All white kit at orient!!!

We wore all white as a home kit for one season in 74-75. I was young then and I have never known why. Does anyone know?

Anyone going to become a Crawley fan for the day ?

No. Hope Man Utd slaughter them. I associate Crawley with Palace and Chelsea rather than Brighton and Sussex and long may that continue.

Now the badge design seems to be out of the bag.....

Now we have returned to something approaching our iconic badge, I'd like to see a return to three broad stripes, blue shorts and white socks.

    Brighton Away Support - Immense

Followed it on Seagull Player. The support was in excellent voice. We were singing along in our house. Well done all.

BHA v Crawley - FA Cup Fifth Round Draw Poll?

Can't stand Crawley. I was at the 5-0 shellacking of Crawley in 92. They'd been so full of it beforehand and it remains one of my most satisfactory Albion cup games. I'd rather play a top premier league club.

Albion six of the best dvd

Would it be possible for the club to bring out a six of the best dvd or suchlike? For example, MOTD games including the Villa one in 72, York in 76, Sunderland in 78 or 79, the win at Forest to end their unbeaten home record etc etc. I reckon that'd be hugely popular and a good seller for...

    powell charlton manager

very down to earth and humble man. Improved enormously as a player from his Southend days and was well worth his few England caps by the end. Has served an apprenticeship at leicester and good luck, though not too much, to him.

    Fantastic Fans from FC United

Excellent atmosphere, the repertoire really was amazing. FCUM are railing against what many of us dislike about modern top flight football; I salute and support them. We did a very professional job as Gus has said and this may well prove to have been a timely game after recent (relative) wobbles...

    James Richardson

Good presenter, but not very knowledgeable about football in my opinion. No doubt a smashing fella. Glendenning, can be funny, but again you feel he has come late to football.
