We just cant help ourselves can we..
I looked at that one with hexagon tiles on walls and floor and thought 'horrible job to do..'
but also saw the hand shower outside of egg bath and thought 'tanked floor with drain.. nice..'
Ah, then yes, all correct.
As said, some non-combi's can we set up for two temp - Vaillant and Viessmann that i know of. Needs some electrics and pipework changing, but essentially they become 'Hot Water Priority' just like a combi. Higher temp to cylinder, then lower temp to rads
I'm, not following your Q - 'They' ?
Ref 50 deg cylinder - yes you can do that but under approx 55 degC is a good temp for legionella/bacteria growth, so we keep above to kill it off. Some boilers and heat pumps have a weekly anti legionella program built in to do this.
The other side to this...
In no order:
Yes, while it's easy to remove the heads and refit/pair, you also have a receiver to replace existing programmer, and unless you are competent at boiler wiring will need someone to do that.
What TRV's do you have.. Picking on Drayton wiser, they supply converters for standard 3/4...
Personally I've got Drayton Wiser in my own house (freebie with training)- It works enough to stop my wife heating the whole house when only she works from home, and although i find the app doesn't want to work away from home (prob my fault ) it's saved me quite a bit.

Think you've answered it yourself, but;
Combi's run two temp internally - HW and CH separately.
Heat only (aka Open vent/Standard boilers) only make 1 loop of heated water and it gets externally diverted to make CH or HW (in a cylinder) so cant (out of the box/easily..) run two temps.
System...
Some very good info in this video (with couple of caveats) - As mentioned, only works for combi's, not heat only or (most) system boiler's with a hot water cylinder.
I've been turning down all my combi's for past couple of years to a a flow temp of 67/65 - by the time the heating water return...
Personally speaking, i only invoice in advance on boiler installs.. usually a token amount (say £1k plus vat) and then invoice the rest upon completion - There's no way i'm leaving a boiler on someones wall without payment towards it..
Pretty common to have some upfront...it books the time/labour out and if they are any good will want that to secure dates.. say 10/20% deposit and then staged payments with say 10% held back until all happy at the end.
That said, least he could do is turn up or give you some decent excuse..!
To lose their free Lada and a few quid when Sons die in battle..
Weirdly, this is linked to another problem for RU - Battalion commanders are so scared of admitting (human) losses in the field to senior's, that they are not reporting the losses, and still going into battle.. and losing more...
Oh yes indeedy.. They've got a a lot of RU cornered into Kherson and RU has been sending battalions as back up (from Donestk area) but UKR has been targeting supplies/dump/trains of ammo and fuel.. so they are stuck there with limited supplies to get themselves back out again..
Madness. Living to work.. £200, Minus tax, NI, Lunch, Fuel, Van ins/tax, PLI, Gas Safe reg, screws, cement, use of powerflusher, clothes, tools.. He's come away with £120..might as well stack shelves or drive a van without any of the hassle..
If you're doing it properly, and LEGALLY...
Boiler for a grand eh.. to buy (plus vat) .. if you want a cheap one. Given the age, it's likely to have a heat only boiler with cylinder and tanks in loft. Conversion to mains combi/flush etc etc - approx £4/5k+vat and dont forget Part L of building regs.. upsized rads all round please...
Lots good advice here.
I'll add that i've only ever had one plastic fitting 'blow off' (Equator if anyone remembers them..) and a Brixton squirrel eat a JS fitting (not pipe) - If installer fits them correctly, with inserts, and well supported, then can really help when getting across joists...
Talking with a client the other day and bemoaning (my) school kids wanting to be 'coders' he countered with 'dont worry too much, i work for DAZN and we cant get enough good coders... and we pay £50k a year to early 20 year old if they're good enough..'
Put me back in box a bit.. :lolol:
So long as it can be isolated, mostly it can be done in an hour. If it's been leaking and scaled up, boil a few kettles and carefully pour over tap in advance.. might save you extra labour or a new tap..
I came down from London last Friday to see Pinter's 'One man, two guvnor's' - fabulous venue, great acting (with a Brighton twist..) - My family who still live in Brighton didn't know it existed.. Make an effort NSC, well worth a night out.
From a good friend of mine who is in the whole 'naming rights/stadium and pitchside sponsorship' game, he said this back before our promo to EPL.
Amex rights £1.5m
Shirts £325k
If in EPL, then times that by 3.
I'd expect that to have jumped considerably by now tho..
Fabrizio Romano who seems to be held in some esteem with breaking news said 'set to submit first bid, and ready to proceed in next few days...' On the 16th June..
So, if he cant get it right, i'm not buying all the others..!
