    Accountancy

I agree with Mike. Am ACA qualified myself (through a big 4 accountancy firm), and my sister is just re-training as an accountant. She is doing the ACCA route, rather than AAT. Reasons are if you are serious and competent, then there is no real point in doing AAT, as you will just have to...

Re-turfing a lawn for NSC gardeners out there

Turfed mine last year, agree with everything said above, preparation is the key and watering afterwards. Ours is great now, ready for our 1 yr old to enjoy. Slightly O/T but seems like an appropriate thread to ask it on, has anyone got any recommendations for a nitrogen product to put on the...

    Crystal Palace

Well, it is just full of social housing with no definable centre, therefore no community services and nothing for people to do, and both back on to industrial estates/big new shopping parks. as house prices as an indicator, a 2 bed flat in either of the crays would be worth about £100k less than...

Well, a LOT has changed, wouldn't touch ether with a barge pole, a 20 mile long barge pole (information gleaned from 5 years living in Orpington).

    Mortgage advice needed

given this statement, I would go on a fixed rate. If you went on a tracker you would potentially be entering into a bet that you cant afford not to come in.

    Taking a baby to Amex?

took our daughter to her 1st match at 4 months, Stoke Vs Spurs (bro in law is the stoke physio, and we were visiting them at the time). She was handling it quite well until the referee started giving dubious decisions, at which point the crowd got nice and noisy, and we had to beat a fast...

    Thankyou David Bellotti

Now that has wound me up than the original article. A small minority of fans?? Utter gash. Then playing the victim.? Have some balls man, just have some balls. I guess though, if you've told yourself the same lie for 15 years, then it's inevitable you'll end up believing it. A twunt who...

    O/T cheap Lanzarote Flights

booked flights to lanzarote last week. Ryanair, Easyjet and Monarch all fly there. We found that after paying for luggage etc, they all work out roughly the same. BTW - went with Ryanair only because they go from Stanstead which is our nearest airport.

    Away at Stoke

Nope, just a lack of distance. Sat with a stokey friend in the posh bit, not much need to stifle my celebrations that night.

    Away at Stoke

Was that when Peter Taylor (the 2nd) was in charge? Lost 3-1 and PT was called a poof all night long by the stoke fans in the posh part of the Brittania.

    Away at Stoke

Strangely, the best possible outcome for me personally as the brother in law is not only a top guy, but the Stoke physio to boot!! We got him a good xmas present so have fingers crossed for complimentary tickets. Seriously, although the stadium is wierd and arctic cold, if people want to...

    Frankie Boyle

As bushy has said that was quality. I dislike intensly the daily mail for the culture of fear that I believe that they try and spread, however I have massive respect to the daily mail for doing what they did re: the acourts et al, interesting that they still haven't been sued.
