You work for a long time, you've got to try to find something you love or at least can comfortably tolerate!
Look at all the great entrepreneurs, they are passionate about their business or product, but carve a way in their businesses to make it work for them.
Or other options could be to look for a similar job and do job share, i.e. gain some more leisure time, or find a job you'd enjoy doing that pays less but is better for you. I tried the stopping for a period and it didn't work for me.
I'd imagine the only thing more stressful than a stressful job is having no job if you have financial commitments.
Look out there and see what you 100% could do, if you had to, and would that be better than what you're doing at the moment.

Please don't cheapen this to think it's just a decision made on a whim. Some people are not keeping one because it's that or bills, some have work commitments, health concerns and genuine concerns about the way the game is run. Very few people would hold a ST for twenty one years and give it up...
This is so true, fixture list comes out in June, how many of our fixtures have been changed / amended since then? People plan shifts, flights, holidays, hotels, train tickets around matches only for them to change. I'm fed up with the fan being the last thought, rather than one of the first.
I think it's just that, you can relate to the people and you forgive the standard. Knowing some of the players seems to allow me to become more absorbed with it all and, having played at that standard, also helps (although it's not as good as it was in my day) :lolol:

Yes, have had a season ticket since first season back at Withdean, purchased two more since first season at The Amex. With my Son now playing in the SCFL I normally prefer to watch him and he doesn't use his as he's normally playing at the same time as the Albion, or same day...
100% agree, this was the right decision and you don't stop a game to award a yellow. However, I just think if this had been one of ours we'd be up in arms about it, which is why the call it the beautiful game!
