Thinking we will sign a new striker and hoping to be very pleased. My thoughts are season long loan and will be late in window since we may need to wait for other clubs business first. Believe progress being made but the club keep their cards close to their chest on transfer matters.

I guess his staying or going will depend if we sign the forward before deadline day. If not he is clearly going to be needed and have a role to play, we would be very short without him or a replacement.

looks to me like no new striker before the window then which is such a shame. We looked good on tuesday and I was impressed and my opinion for what it is worth is that we are one decent foward away from a top 6 push. Without this we will play well in a lot games and not win.

hope the OP has some inside track on this one, we are just the striker away from a real challenge. Reading Gus comments this morning doesn't look promising but lets hope that is a smokescreen and things are moving nicely.:smile:

the only thing I would say about budgets is that they are set at the beginning and Gus must have know exactly what he was. If he does not have enough let in that agreed budget to sign the striker he needs then he has to take responsibility for that issue.

Depends on the fitness of our key players. If they remain unfit then going to struggle to score and going for 0-1 defeat. I hope I am wrong.

going for no. think we might struggle to sign a forward prior to transfer window closing, it looks to me like any inbound signing is dependant on reducing the squad size with the like of sparrow leaving. just looks like too many things need to come together at once for it to happen.
