I think that we will bring in another 2, 1 striker 1 central midfield, whether they are permanent by Friday or loans when the window opens is another matter. A bigger worry is will Liam Bridcutt go before then.

The perfect signings would be a striker and another quality box to box midfielder,if crofts gets injured we'll have problems.

We need 2 (Striker and CMF). No idea at all, certainly don't believe all the negativity from Gus but I'm imagining he's not as close as he would like to be and is therefore preparing us.

The only real clue to thinking we may not be too close is that nobody has really left, thinking specifically about Dicker/Harley

There will be a lot of activity this week, hope we're involved and not just picking up the dregs

Think gus and tanno have had a few poker nights round blooms cause you just cannot read the man, on 1 hand, if we didn't sign anyone. Wouldn't surprise me considering how much poyet moans about money. On the other hand, if we sign 1 or 2, just be me thinking poyet is a crafty fucker

Bloom is doing the sensible thing and spending no more than we're bringing in. But he also wants us to get to the premiership in 5 years (now 4), and with all the big spenders around us, that's not too realistic. We need another good striker, and not too many injuries.

Thinking we will sign a new striker and hoping to be very pleased. My thoughts are season long loan and will be late in window since we may need to wait for other clubs business first. Believe progress being made but the club keep their cards close to their chest on transfer matters.

I don't think we'll sign any permanently, but we'll pick up a loan striker when the window closes.....perhaps someone like Bothroyd.

pretty much agree with you on this 1 loan to come in late in the week and no one going out.

I think we'll have a couple in by the end of the week, but I don't think it will be anyone especially exciting, or who we are hoping for.

A young defender from Arsenal as cover, and a forward in the Sam Vokes mould, both on loan. That sort of thing.

What a difference now to a few years ago as nobody has any idea really where as everybody knew who we were after then. It is a case of different people with different approaches and attitudes.
