Unfortunately that’s the exact same argument used by the ‘authorities’ and directed at football fans in general when they ‘justify’ all seater stadiums, no alcohol, special court powers to ban individuals and so on.
Not all football fans are animals, they’re in the minority and a tiny one at that.
Easy to say that the CPST is trying to blame anyone, I read it as a complaint - one that on the face of it and also from personal experience contains many valid points.
What right do the police have to force an individual to board a train against their will, to stop them from going about their...
I presume that if the FA charge stands and he can show a real loss due to the decision he could sue GB for damages and would only have to show that, on the balance of probabilities, he didn’t racially abuse him.
Apart from the problem of lack of driving examiners I don’t think a full driving test is necessary for the elderly - I do however think that an eye test and reaction test at least every 5 years at the age of 70 and above would be sensible - difficult to argue with the result if you fail.
I’ll...
Some time ago one of our neighbours complained about the state of the fence between us, said it was an eyesore - I removed it and they still weren’t happy
I understood that it was to do with the way HMRC deal with the payments to agents - actors can claim the payments as a business expense, footballers if they pay the agent has to do so from taxed income.
There was time before the ‘real’ safety car was deployed for Hamilton to go into the pits on the next lap and simply drive through without stopping to regain the lead.
Unless they change the rules about speeds in the pit lanes during a virtual safety car there will be chaos in the pits the next...
Set up a road block outside the car parks and P&R after a match - what proportion of drivers will have had at least a pint - I would guess it would be very high.
No - membership of the EU was by Treaty.
However if say Welsh politicians instructed the population to stop paying their taxes to HMRC but to a Welsh equivalent, declared that Wales refused to accept the authority of Parliament and instructed councils not to pass business rate income, road tax...
That is a very slanted view of the real situation!
Most of the individuals charged with abuse of power, misappropriation of funds, sedition etc. have been released on bail. The few that have been remanded in custody have been either charged with the most serious of offences, are a flight risk...
As I understand it the ‘law’, (Football Spectators Act), only requires that clubs in the top two divisions provide every spectator with a seat not that the spectators must sit in them. On that basis wouldn’t railed seating be legal?
Blimey! - Wish I knew your secret - I’m in ESL - don’t hang about after the final whistle and apart from the Palace Cup game have had at least a 45 minute wait and quite often over an hour wait. Yesterday got to Mill Rd at 18:10.
As someone who uses the Mill Rd P&R I personally don’t think the delays have any effect that couldn’t be overcome quite simply by one or two additional buses. After the waiting batch has loaded there is then a delay of about ten or fifteen minutes before a bus returns - from then on the buses...
