Yeah, its too early, but its too early for anyone to make any conclusion of any kind about any team or player yet this season. But there are a lot of media pages to fill
As for our strikers, there are a lot of people who will keep on saying 'we have no good strikers', and there's nothing that...
I'd agree with this point of view if season-ticket holders were paying full price for their seats - but they're not, they get a sizeable discount on matchday prices
I remember a very composed finish to earn a point against Arsenal on boxing day, I remember an excellent turn and finish away at Millwall in the cup - I'm pretty sure this guy can finish given the service. He's in our squad, I'll support him, here's hoping he gives it his all.
She's certainly going to to be up there in terms of games lost, she had blown all her opponents away.
I think the age thing is a bit over- played, she isn't actually that young for tennis. Its far more about her inexperience - which is probably a side product of the lockdowns and cancellations...
Agreed... But weird this is happening in Brazil, which has the highest covid rates in the world and hasn't really given a shit about stopping transmission since this whole thing started.
This thread has become misery central quite quickly hasn't it. Its, its exciting to sign lots of new players, because they're all effin brilliant before they kick a ball.
Thing is, successful sides are ones built on stability and experience. Consistency of playing style and selection, knowing...
I'd love an Ings. But he chose Villa. Anyway, Ings scored 11 in his first premier league season at age 22, and Maupay scored 10 in his first premier league season at age 23. Ings was 27 when he scored his 22 in a season, back to 12 last year.
He improved with age and experience. I am banking...
If we're talking shit strikers,Benteke clearly is in my view. . I imagine Palace can give the first XI assurances we can't. Beyond that, it's just guesswork who is better.
I dont see that Edouard is automatically going to keep Maupay and Welbeck on the bench, but more importantly, our club...
Obviously we tried to get a better striker, but couldn't get it over the line. Shame, but there's no point in getting another striker whose similar to Maupay or Welbeck, we already have those players. And if course someone like Eduoard won't come to be third choice with us when he can be first...
Can you imagine how good Neal Maupay would be in some posters eyes if he hadn't signed for Brighton and gone somewhere like Villa or Palace instead? Or how shit they would think any of the strikes listed above would be if they had signed for Brighton instead...
Im with you, it's astonishing how everyone in charge has allowed the club to go backwards in the last decade, all the way from the 3rd tier to the 1st, and now four seasons we've been unable to get back to the 2nd tier. Just letting Tony down :nono:
I think there's this idea that we got to the end of the transfer window, missed out on Nunez and thought 'shit, better sign Welbeck instead'. An idea that Welbeck was sitting around without a club waiting for his phone to ring.
It's surely rubbish, a player of Welbecks pedigree would have been...
