Just reading through some of the flyers handed out today - think I will enter the Phoenix 10k - 7.30pm 15th July (Hove Lawns to Carats Cafe and back). I cant do the Worthing 10k. Next run for me is the Lindfield Cross Country 10k on Bank Holiday Monday.
Did the Horsham 10k today, first time I have done a proper timed 10k. Finished in 58.53 so was happy with that. A really well run and organised event! Course mixture of grass, bridleways and tarmac. Loved it! Was unsure on pacing as used to half/full marathons but will learn from this one...
Leo Moran (Saw Doctors) and Anthony Thistlethwaite (Saw Doctors & Waterboys) at the Hawth Studio in Crawley on 26th June. The Saw Doctors are taking a break from recording/gigging but these 2 decided to go off on an alternative tour at tiny venues! Capacity 146!
The Men They Could't Hang at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Supported by a cracking band called Merry Hell. It was a second gig in 12 months at Shepherds Bush to finish off them celebrating 30 years!
Ultravox at the Brighton Centre in 1984.
I have a cassette bootleg of the gig and still have my tour T-Shirt purchased outside with spelling mistakes! All my old gig stuff is in the loft at my Mums house, want to go and dig it out now!!! Met Midge Ure at a gig at Crawley Leisure Centre, we...

Not been on NSC since Sunday. Absolutely loved the day, got a new PB of 5.14.13 (target was 5 hours so looks like I will have to do another!) . For the first time managed to keep going for the whole marathon, no walking at all which I was really proud of. The support was amazing and this time...
I did a Spin class Friday and Saturday and a 7 mile run today. One more spin class Tuesday and that is pretty much it for me now until Sunday, feet up and eating pasta!
Did the 7 miles a bit quicker than my planned marathon pace (10.30 per mile rather then my required 11.30 I am aiming for...

Was blowing a hoolie around West Hoathly this morning (and still is now but the wind has finally blown the rain away! ). Managed to blown around for 10 miles before I headed home! Off work Wednesday so planning another 10 miles then, and my final run will be 13 miles next Sunday.
Did a 45 minute spin class this morning, followed by a 10km cycle in the gym. I will aim for 15 miles tomorrow. Still aiming to break the 5 hour barrier this time.
My main aim is fund raising - I want to top £1,000 for the Martlets for this Marathon - just under £700 raised so far.
With...
Brighton this year will be marathon number 3. Did Brighton in 2011 & London 2013. Best time was London in 5.24 (aged 44). Hoping for 5 hours at Brighton this year. Did a PB in the Brighton half this year of 2.12.34! Just another plug for fund raising page (running for the Martlets hospice...
