I like Solly and was really pleased he scored what should have been a point earning goal today.
However, he does frustrate - he gets into great goal scoring positions but his ability to get a shot on target is poor , and so is a lot of his crossing. Like others on here I do think he lacks self...
Ha Ha
Its got to be one point dropped.
I now what you mean but bad finishing and officiating can't take away from our inability to defend straight after scoring.
Ok. People are different.
I have always watched other games with this thought in mind. It doesn't help my nerves as I can't even relax 3 games into the season :ffsparr:
It was a tight decision but a penalty in my decision.
The ref gave it and if it's debatable , as it was, then the ref's original decision should stand.
You can watch it again and again and it's not clear.
Don't agree. 3 points gained today for potential relegation rivals is as bad as 3 points gained in May.
I always look at the other fixtures and think - who are we more likely to finish above of the two teams playing ? and then back the other team - so Palace v Everton (come on Everton) , West...
Everton are a bit like West Ham. A black hole Club where many decent players disappear and are never seen again.
I'm at a loss at how some of these Club's can afford to do it.
Being an "older" supporter I would have to say The Goldstone.
Within walking distance of my houses over the years and my first experience of professional football.
Plus some great years and sides thrown in with a lot of rubbish. The Ward/Mellor years were golden.
Would be good to take the lead against them , as going 1-0 down seems to knock the stuffing out of us in these kind of games (but we did comeback against Chelsea :albion2:).
Because I was in the area and wanted to tick off another league ground I witnessed Cambridge United 4 Huddersfield 5 in the mid 1990's.
I was at the 7-2 Albion York game - so i think 9 goals in a game is my highest tally.
