I’m not particularly enjoying Potter shoehorning Cucurella into that role, it diminishes he’ his effectiveness on the flank where he’s been so good for us.
I appreciate my stance will be coming across as anti Potter, but I promise you I’m not. In all honesty I’m probably conflicted with my emotions at the moment. I think Potter is a very good manager, and if you gave him Villa’s squad for example, he’d be absolutely flying. The club’s reluctance to...
It’s just really hard to ignore every bit of his BS. I often just roll my eyes and laugh at his utter lack of understanding of all things Albion, but every now and then I can’t resist the urge.
That has nothing to do with what I posted?
Out of interest, how many shit runs of form at you prepared to endure before enough is enough? Outside of 4 wins from our opening 5 fixtures this season has actually been one colossal pile of crap punctuated by the odd win here and there. We’re boring...
It’s bonkers that so many of us get drawn into replying to this character. They knew nothing about the Albion until 3 years ago, and short of punting around on the internet and googling fictional transfer fees, they still know absolutely nothing about the club. The sycophantic defence of all...
It’s funny that you’re trying to push the narrative that Potter’s squad has been built on buttons and lollipop sticks. Hughton had very few saleable assets so comparing his overall spend to Potter’s, who could afford to sell Bernardo, Knockaert, Stephens etc is a pointless exercise.
Unfortunately that was our home and away results. We went 13 without a win in the league from September to December. Our away form has been ok, but we have only won twice on the road since September 11th.
But this current run is our 2nd dreadful spell of form this season. Remember, we beat Leicester on the 19th of September, our next league win didn’t come until Boxing Day. Over 3 months without a league win? Most managers get the sack for that.
Big difference between playing Burnley twice a year and playing Brighton. We’re easy to prepare for in as much we play the same football as many other teams, it’s all possession based, patterns of play and playing through the counter. Preparing for us is meat and drink for a PL manager as they...
I think it’s been fine in spells, and has had moments where it’s been fantastic, but these last couple of months have been nothing short of diabolical. Having said that, I guess it’s subjective, if you enjoy super slow football, with relentless repetitive patterns which are easy to defend...
He’s had 3 or 4 periods of form that would usually result in a manger getting sacked. This current run and this season’s overall stats are horrific, we’re disgustingly poor at home and it’s never really changed under his stewardship. I personally wouldn’t want to see him sacked, but I have no...
If we had some competent attackers with pace then he’d probably still be performing at a better standard, but seeing as we’ve slowed our whole game down and all of our attackers look bereft of talent and confidence then I’m not overly surprised that he’s not looking so hot right now.
On the plus side, at least it looks like we’re going to sell some key first team players this summer and use a load of untested kids and budget euro league players. Ahhh, the Premier League dream.
