I noticed that last night. I could use a charity place, my work would sponsor and match give me to the minimum so I wouldn’t rule that one out.
I have been warned about Goodwood so maybe a half might be my best bet there.
I was looking at Kew, but with a view to running the marathon.
Also Goodwood has a range of distances from 5k to marathon so considering a fast 20 mile race there, followed by Kew for the full distance.
Are you running in either event?
I think racing could be like a lot of things in my life. I haven’t really missed it, until I’ve done it.
Surprisingly for someone ultra competitive ‘just’ running has been great and I’ve had no dip whatsoever in terms of motivation. In fact quite the opposite.
That being said, I thoroughly...
I’d love to sign Toney (Brentford) and Perreira (WBA)
We’d have to sell at least one of our big guns, but both are playing well this season.
Toney for me is the best championship player I’ve seen since James Maddison.
That’s quite spooky the similarities in terms of splits. Mile 1 felt like more downhill and with the wind. Mile 2 quite the opposite.
Strava has a segment for the final 400 metres which is interesting looking at the top runners.
I make it 75.05% so the best man won. Good event, despite the snow and winds. It even felt hot when the sun briefly made an appearance and you ran with the wind.
Some great runners there today and some of the times beggar belief.
I think for me it’s more the contrasting styles of play.
If that were Palace last night, the ball from Veltman isn’t a delicate, precise pitching wedge type of ball into a centre forwards up against their best player in the air.
It’s a ball played deep into the United final third, probably...
Good to know and see you tomorrow.
I was having second thoughts yesterday. I don’t like the fact it’s at the end of the bank holiday, so obsessive types like me, will struggle to relax and will feel guilty if I over indulge.
I was going to see how I felt this morning and if I felt fresh, I’d...
I’m putting you in the consolidation/training absorption stage at present!
A few weeks at a lower intensity and mileage might work well, although I know enforced time out is hugely frustrating.
Rounded up, I’m on 564 miles for the year, so a good start after missing the first week of January due to illness.
March was a new record high in terms of miles 205.6 miles so feel in good form and hoping for a good time at Ardingly Monday.
Good to hear everyone is running well at the moment.
Include Robbie Fowler too. Another great player, when England had top class strikers galore.
My memory of that time was that Les Ferdinand seemed to play a lot better for England than Ian Wright.
Andy Cole also never produced for England, despite being massively prolific at club level.
That’s the thing though, it’s highly likely it will amount to a lot more than that.
Especially as the investigation will require an outcome and that outcome will likely be a small fine and Bowen to attend some sort of education programme.
Whilst not costing millions, the time and effort...
