I like that team and like even more I’d take lap 1 and join again for 5.
That being said I enjoyed just us much the year we tried to even the teams out. It was nice to run with different people and as always the beers after are the best part.
And if it wasn’t Phil Collins, it would almost certainly be the Eagles.
I remember John Burridge’s favourite food was toast.
Lager also came out as preferred drink quite often.
I’m guessing my run yesterday has been deemed as earth shattering. If not I’ll report it anyway.
A new Half Marathon PB of 1:24:23. Raced at Goodwood and a really top event and would recommend to anyone. They cater for distances between 5k & Marathon. The exception being 10 miles which for me...
You’ve somehow taken four points from us this season. An unbelievably soft penalty in the first and a near robbery in the second. Take those results away and very little between the two sides points wise.
Trying to remain unbiased, you have the oldest squad in the league, us one of the...
Leicester away for me.
The only game this season we were really poor. I also felt we played a strange game against Arsenal at home without a recognised striker. They were there for the taking but we were strangely subdued and didn’t show enough ambition or fight.
Ali J put in two superb crosses, both missed by strikers either off form or slow of the mark. Bissouma slid a great ball into Maupay but his first touch made it easier for the keeper, who in fairness made a great save.
I’m with you on set pieces, but goals change games and without a decent...
When your top goal scorer only has eight goals and two of which are penalties, you’ll do very well to finish outside the bottom three.
Our lowly position is purely down to a lack of decent striker. Earlier in the season it was defending from set pieces too. We seemed to have solved that...
You get a Premier League quality upfront and we take the 1-1 chance that the keeper saved from Maupay. Completely different game.
Even taking that chance away. A genuine top quality striker makes it 1-1 and doesn’t miss from 2 yards.
Having a strike force pre season of Maupay, Connolly &...
Really can’t see the low scores for MacAllister who may well have been our best player first half. Perhaps not so influential second, but for me in a good team performance is deserving of a 7. Struggling to understand the number of 5’s awarded.
Forgot that. It would have been the most perfect conditions imaginable. Perhaps the sun slightly too strong as we got towards late morning.
I’m running the Goodwood HM next Sunday, so looking forward to another race after an enjoyable 5k one Easter BH weekend.
I noticed that too. The final 20 minutes the team seemed reluctant to pass to Maupay and only did if no other real options.
A real shame as the 3 matches prior to this, was arguably his most complete performances in a Brighton shirt.
I think it’s a minor miracle that Potter has got us where we are when we went into the season with a front three of Maupay, Connolly & Zeqiri. That’s a championship strike force, so to have us reasonably clear of the drop, playing well in almost every game and with a minus 5 GD is a genuine feat...
