My personal highlight was seeing the sheer joy and delight of Albion fans in the pubs across the city afterwards and on the train home. So many smiling faces and so many p!ssed Albionites. What a day!!
Exactly. The majority of games I attended in the 70's and 80's I spent half my time looking over my shoulder. Hoolies from that era didn't give a monkey's who they attacked.
Keeping it simple, as the best ones are, how about U-llo-a to the Stu-My-Lo chant from the 90's? Upbeat, catchy and simple.
PS - Whatever happened to Stuart Myall?
As the title would suggest, I'm looking for a cafe/greasy spoon within 10 minutes of Brighton station for a good quality Full English breakfast.
All recommendations welcomed.
Cheers.
I agree completely.
The whingeing around me last night when the substitutions were made was unbelievable. The moaners obviously weren't here a few seasons back when we were struggling at the wrong end of League One with a shocking home record.
Thoroughly enjoying the season - keep it up Gus!!
Having been going to the Albion for nearly 40 years, last night didn't surprise me at all. Not saying it's right, of course it's not. But with teams like Millwall and their following now having the opportunity to take 2,300 or so instead of app. 800, you're going to get three times as many...
Great work Goldstone Rapper (and Little Al, I suppose), haven't seen that for years! I was there but don't remember Trusson being sent off. In fact, other than his name, I don't recall an awful lot of Trusson at all. In any game. As for the ref... Very poor and as camp as a row of tents as...
I'm 47 and HATE Palace with a passion. Simple as that.
Other "temporary" rivalries come and go over the years (Southampton, Reading, Orient for example), but we only have one rival as far as I'm concerned - that bunch from the wrong end of the A23.
Bring on the 31st!
I didn't go last night but listened to the commentary instead - Aspinall was brilliant! Very entertaining, knowledgeable and not afraid to say what he feels as opposed to the vast majority of pundits who are too afraid of the PC brigade.
In short, a character, which football is so very short...
No you're not the only one, I do too. They were there for the taking after the first goal went in but we didn't take advantage. As for the 2nd half, well...
This was Poyet's 102 game in charge and it's the only time I have felt let down by them. Not bad, 1 in 100 but why against THEM?
Unusually for me, I am very confident. We are the team on the up, with quality players and style of football, a top notch manager and the best part of 20K fans creating a great atmosphere. 3-0 us.
