Good running big nuts . I thought it was a great event today, with absolutely perfect conditions. I came in at 46.33 which is a 10k pb for me, and should hopefully put me fairly high up the results table for the 60-plus group.
It's just a running club, composed of runners who have something else in common (being vegans). I think it's also a way of promoting veganism, and showing that popular beliefs that you can't be healthy and fit on a vegan diet are wrong. Some of them are pretty fast. Don't have a problem with it...
I don't see why I have to touch one of them to show respect. I plan to do what I always do with opposing fans that I encounter on the way to and from matches (unless I know them personally, of course), namely politely ignore them. That's entirely respectful as far as I'm concerned.
Me too - doesn't actually seem to be called the Brooks this year. If anything, last year's weather (when it was cancelled) seemed no worse to me than 2015, which was horrendously windy. Forecast for Sunday looks positively balmy!
Staying in Didsbury, and planning to do the Platt Fields Parkrun before the Old Trafford match. Will be my fifth awayday parkrun this season (Leicester, B'mouth, West Ham and Swansea so far)
Unfortunately making decent coffee takes time - imagine the queues if they had proper coffee machines, and the chances of the Sodexho minimum wage casual bar staff getting up to speed at operating as proper 'baristas' are close to zero

No - the remote system simply operates the controls and timer of the central heating and hot water, so the worst that could happen is that they could turn it on and off at different times than you wanted them to. Plus it operates through your domestic router, so if that's secure, then they can't...
Just noticed that - makes it very clear on purchasing that standing in Block 6, "will not be tolerated". I have no idea what proportion of the away tickets are in block 6, but it does seem like a good idea, given that it's also clear from this thread that there are a number of potential away...
I tend to agree. I've queued longer in WSU (and much longer in Dicks) only to get to the front of the queue and discover that various items wanted have run out. At least they seemed to have everything they were advertising in sufficient quantity. And the Brains SA (albeit bottled) was indeed fine.
"Durge". Is that Welsh for something?
All I can find online is a reference to a Star Wars character

..and a couple of slang references

I much prefer to stand. I've been using a standing desk at work for years, and spend as little time sitting down as I can.
A huge amount of research now exists showing that sitting down all the time is really un-healthy, is unnatural for humans and is a major cause of life-shortening...
Yes, good to meet you. Great course I thought, lovely sunny morning on Swansea Bay (less impressed with the rest of the city so far tbh....). My watch showed 22:33 which is about my pb for an Albion away day Parkrun (but 40 secs slower than my real Brighton Parkrun pb).

I'm also club Garmin 235. Best running watch I've ever had. Wear it all the time as a normal watch too. The wrist heart rate monitor seems pretty accurate, and I like all the features. The only thing I really wish garmin would add is a bluetooth music playing facility like some of the high-spec...
But see my earlier post - latest info is that Landore parking is very limited unless you've got a seasonal booking, so suggest you get there early
