    [Albion] Premier League 23-26/10

I am not disagreeing with you, as saints were good. I would also add that on this occasion I think it is also fair to say that Everton were dire-many unforced errors.

    [Football] Marcus Rashford

But do they starve? What evidence do you actually have that kids starve? My wife was a school secretary for 12 years and in all that time, she never ever heard from parents of free school meal kids that they starve. The one thing I do recall over the years is her saying that she doubted in some...

    [Football] Marcus Rashford

Yet another arrogant poster on NSC who sees fit to put his view of life well ahead of millions of allegedly moronic voters. Perhaps it is the likes of you with your superiority that should make us feel embarrassed, as you seem to want to link the issue with nationality. Cue the usual abuse when...

    Thanks for that -appreciated.

    [NSC] The Self Isolater's Thread

On a slightly different note, could NSC sages please help. I have a very reluctant contractor who, I am convinced, is trying to avoid shoddy work improvement by continually giving excuses as to why he cannot attend. He emailed me 5 days ago that one of his workmates has covid symptoms, but has...

    [Politics] Jacinda Arden

[QUOTE=blue-shifted;9557764]Not harsh. Boris got through the tory leadership process in full knowledge of what sort of person he was on the basis that the British were shallow enough to hold their nose and vote tory anyway. They were right. In a sensible country, with sensible people, like...

    [Help] Marriage Split

Looking at it from a teaching perspective, do please try to avoid (both of you, that is!) using the children as weapons to get one over each other -in front of the kids it has to be sweetness and light; admittedly this is not always easy, I fully appreciate, but if the kids are to get through it...

[Albion] After a night to sleep on it

Exactly -disappointing yesterday but not by any means a disaster. A sense of proportion is needed -if we fail against the likes of west brom, then time to really worry.

[Albion] Team for Man Utd - Carabao Cup

Like thousands of others, I am desperate to win this one after yesterday, but their bench will surely have more depth of talent than we have. Not optimistic, sadly.

[Albion] The timing at the end.

I have often pondered this; you would like to think that this doesn't exist, and the chap over the road -an avid Spurs fan -would deny this is the case, as he says they have had some absolute xxxx reffing their games. But I do recall someone in the game last year telling of how when an...

    [News] NHS CV19 tracing app.

Excellent post -well said. It really is a shame that so many on the political posts on here are seemingly determined to find anything negative, invariably with little real information to back-up their prejudices.

    [Politics] Johnson is on Holiday

They will indeed. Fantastic results, the best ever, and no revision or any sort of exam cramming needed. The algorithm was not perfect, quite evidently, but at least it was an attempt to slow down grade inflation, which has accelerated to record proportions this year. Are we doing the kids a...

    [Politics] Johnson is on Holiday

I am well aware of what these meetings are -your ramblings here are neither necessary nor relevant. And furthermore you accuse me of waffle! My point was that to accuse him of missing the meetings is only relevant if you know exactly what the agenda was, and whether it was necessary for him to...

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

I can only state what is currently happening and at present most are from Iran or Iraq. The stats referring to Germany were not spurious, by the way, and I used that to illustrate the reality at the time, as so many folk thought they all came from Syria.

[/B] Yes, all very nice, but what has this to do with my post?

    [Politics] Johnson is on Holiday

As a matter of interest, as you criticise him for not attending meetings, it would help if you could inform us as to the agenda of the meetings, and whether he was actually there or not, and whether his attendance was necessary. I have no idea, as I cold not possibly know, but clearly you must...

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

Well, if that is the only response you can come up with, then it is clearly best for you to avoid silly erm questions.

Just how awful is this government? June 2020 edition

Stupid statement. After the wave of immigration in 2015, when Germany took a million , they worked out on registration that only 186,000 came from Syria, and that was during the height of the conflict there. The rest did not.
